Céline Dion’s childhood is all coming back to you now.
A series based on the life of Celine Dion has been greenlit by Diamant Rouge Entertainment in Los Angeles. Her brother, Jacques Dion, will produce the show.
In a statement to Deadline on May 28th, Jacques explained that this series is very personal to his family, reflecting their shared experiences, challenges, and affection. He said they’re excited to finally share their story authentically with the world.
The new series will be led by showrunner Zoë Green and is inspired by the book Dion, A Family Saga, written by Jimmy Dion, nephew and son of Jacques Dion. The show will explore Céline Dion’s childhood in Quebec and the strong bond she shared with her mother, Thérèse Dion, and her large family of thirteen siblings.
Although the actors haven’t been chosen yet, Céline Dion is already a character in the Broadway musical Titaníque. The show reimagines the story of the 1997 film Titanic, told from Céline’s point of view—with the comedic twist that she was supposedly a passenger on the ship.
Although Céline Dion hasn’t seen the new show herself, Marla Mindelle—who co-created and stars as Céline—has been told by people close to the singer that she would enjoy it. Mindelle shared this information with TopMob News.
Before the show opened on Broadway, Marla shared with TopMob that everyone from her sister to her doctors and professional team – including her publishers, lawyers, dancers, and makeup artists – had seen the Montreal production. They all agreed that the artist would have absolutely loved it.

For Marla, who collaborated on the production with Constantine Rousouli and Tye Blue, the opinion of the singer of “I’m Alive” is incredibly important.
Okay, so listen, Titanic was HUGE for me growing up, but honestly? Céline Dion is everything. Seriously, she was who I wanted to be – I used to spend hours trying to sing just like her! This whole project? It’s basically a giant love letter to her. We’re so passionate about making sure her incredible work is celebrated and her legacy is totally protected. It means the world to me, and to all of us.
Although Céline’s show is just starting to come together, there are lots of other great series you should know about. Here’s a list of shows to add to your watchlist…
