Halloween costumes often cleverly reflect what’s popular in the news and culture, and this year, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s relationship has been a huge story. While many couples will likely dress up together, one fan took a unique approach: they dressed their dog to look like Taylor’s massive engagement ring! Travis Kelce himself has already seen the adorable pup.
A funny TikTok video from a dog parade shows a pup dressed in a beige sweater, complete with a gold band and a large, sparkly “diamond” glued to its back. But the most surprising part? The dog is also wearing what looks like a fingernail as a visor! You have to see it to believe it.

The video had a lot of impressive costumes, but the one referencing Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s relationship was the most talked-about. Even Travis Kelce himself acknowledged it, as a picture of the costume ended up on the podcast he co-hosts with his brother, Jason Kelce.
The hosts of New Heights asked fans to share Halloween costumes inspired by their show, and they loved the idea – especially since it seemed to reference Travis Kelce’s recent proposal! Here’s how they reacted:
- Jason: That’s adorable, that’s a fucking great costume.
- Travis: That’s a good costume.
- Jason: That’s a ten out of ten. Dog costumes in general are awesome; that is amazing.
- Travis: Hilarious.
Everyone seemed really impressed, and I was thrilled Jason Kelce highlighted what I believe is the strongest aspect of the performance, saying:
I love the fingernail.
While this costume likely didn’t cost as much as Travis Kelce’s ring for Taylor Swift, the person wearing it is absolutely worth more than the price tag.
Travis Kelce is used to people dressing up as him for Halloween. It’s been happening for the last couple of years, and he was even asked during a Chiefs press conference how to best recreate his look – apparently, the key is the mustache!
Taylor Swift’s fiancée is inspiring fans’ costumes, with many dressing up as looks from the Eras Tour for Halloween. While fans won’t be able to get costume ideas from Taylor’s concert film, The End of an Era, until it’s released on Disney+ in December 2025, we might see outfits inspired by her album The Tortured Poets Department next year.

Disney+ offers a wide range of entertainment, including content from Taylor Swift, Marvel, and Star Wars. You can start streaming with ads for as little as $11.99 per month. For an ad-free experience, it’s $18.99 a month, or you can save 16% by paying $189.99 for a full year. Check out the deal here.
It would be amazing if these costumes also came in sizes for pets—think of all the funny names we could come up with! Like, “The Goodest Boy Who Ever Lived,” or “Fresh Out the Kennel.” We could even have a “Tortured Pets Department” or a dog who “Only Breaks His Favorite Chew Toys.” I could go on and on, but you get the idea!
I’m excited to see all the costumes people come up with this season, and especially how many couples will be dressing up together like Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift.
