As a tech fan, it’s really interesting to watch the Chinese GPU companies trying to compete with giants like NVIDIA and AMD. They’re clearly putting in a lot of effort to become major players, both in the AI world and for regular gamers and consumers like me.
Lisuan, a Chinese graphics card manufacturer, has created what seems to be the first gaming graphics card that works with Windows on ARM processors.
This is great news for PC gamers! Previously, Windows on ARM computers couldn’t be used with powerful graphics cards from AMD or NVIDIA. Even Intel’s Arc GPUs weren’t an option. The reason? These graphics card companies haven’t created the necessary software (drivers) to work with the ARM version of Windows.
Currently, Windows PCs using ARM processors – which are almost all powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X chips – can’t be upgraded with separate graphics cards. A company called Lisuan Technology, founded in 2021 and based in Shanghai, is aiming to fix this limitation.
In July 2025, Lisuan launched the 7G106, a groundbreaking graphics card as it was China’s first 6nm GPU built for gaming. With 12GB of GDDR6 memory, support for DirectX 12, and a distinctive fan design, the card initially generated excitement among PC gamers. Afterwards, Lisuan appeared to focus on further developing their products.
Okay, so there’s a new video up on bilibili showing the Lisuan 7G106 GPU in action! It’s running on a pretty powerful system with a Chinese-made ARM CPU – a 12-core CP8180 v9 from 2024. They’re running the 3DMark Steel Nomad benchmark on Windows on ARM, and it’s really cool to finally see it being tested like this.

The demonstration showed a DirectX 12 window running on the operating system, and the Windows Task Manager confirmed all hardware was functioning correctly. If Lisuan has successfully developed an ARM64 driver for its graphics card, it represents significant progress for gaming on ARM-based devices, particularly within China’s GPU market.
Qualcomm hasn’t been resting on its laurels. They recently unveiled the Snapdragon X2 chip, expected in September 2025, which is set to dramatically improve the performance of Windows 11 PCs that use ARM processors.
Qualcomm says its latest updates will not only boost performance and make games run smoother, but also offer new tools through the Snapdragon Control Panel and improved anti-cheat measures for competitive gaming. However, it still doesn’t work with graphics cards from NVIDIA, AMD, or Intel.
