The action game Absolum has been a huge hit, selling over 200,000 copies in its first week and receiving rave reviews. The developers, Dotemu and Guard Crush Games, have expressed their gratitude to fans and announced a new update called Mystic Ordeals, which will add even more content.
Ordeals let players fine-tune the game’s difficulty by adjusting things like enemy and boss health, speed, and how aggressively they attack. It also looks like you’ll be able to modify your character’s stats, though the specifics of that aren’t available yet. This is just a small preview of what’s coming, and the developers plan to share more details about the future of the game world and Absolum over the coming months and years.
The team is currently addressing the most important problems with some quick fixes, but they haven’t given a specific date for when these fixes will be released, only that they’re coming soon. We’ll share more information as it becomes available.
You can play Absolum on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC, and Nintendo Switch. We gave it a 9/10 in our review, praising its combat, rogue-lite gameplay, character building, and overall presentation.
