Acclaimed Roguelite Drop Duchy Combines Tetris and Strategy on PS5 This Spring

Another day, another highly-regarded indie PC game making the leap to consoles.

Drop Duchy, a game developed by The Arcade Crew and Sleepy Mill Studio, will be released on PS5 with a Complete Edition planned for Spring 2026.

Drop Duchy is a fresh take on the classic Tetris formula, combining its familiar gameplay with strategic thinking and the card-collecting aspects of deck-building games.

Every shape you place on the board represents a structure or piece of land. You’ll clear lines like in traditional puzzle games, but you’ll also collect resources and strengthen your defenses to defeat opponents.

The game is all about controlling different areas, and you progress by completing each stage. As you advance, you’ll collect stronger cards and perks to help with the increasing challenge.

I’ve been checking Steam, and this game is getting amazing reviews – it’s currently rated ‘Very Positive’! It’s been out since May 2025, and people are really loving it.

As we discussed, the console version is the Complete Edition, giving you access to all previously released downloadable content and updates right from the start, so you’ll have a lot more to explore immediately.
