Two legendary action stars are facing off in the just-released trailer for Exit Protocol. The movie seems to fully embrace its over-the-top, classic action style, and it features The Expendables and Rocky IV star Sylvester Stallone, who becomes the target of The Dark Knight and Never Back Down: No Surrender star Scott Adkins. It’s a dream come true for action fans!
The trailer was posted on X/Twitter by a co-star of Lundgren and White (Vice, The Juice), who wrote, “I’m thrilled to reveal the official trailer for Exit Protocol, a thrilling action movie about assassins, featuring Dolph Lundgren, Michael Jai White, and myself.” The film also stars Lina Maya (Art of Love), Stephanie Beran (Big Kill), and Aaron McPherson (One in the Chamber).
The action-packed background of Exit Protocol extends further, as Scott Mastin and Shane Dax Taylor (who both star in and direct the film) also appear in it. They’re both well-known for previously working with Lundgren on the 2023 action thriller The Best Man. Finally, the screenplay was written by action enthusiast Chad Law, who has also penned other films in the genre, including Section 8, Lights Out, The Getback, and several others.
‘Exit Protocol’ Finds Dolph Lundgren on the Run
Exit Protocol, directed by Shane Dax Taylor and written by Chad Law, tells the story of a famous hitman who wants to retire after spending his career eliminating other assassins. However, he discovers leaving the life isn’t so easy. Now a target himself, he unexpectedly teams up with someone he once tried to kill in order to escape his former employer.
Judging by the trailer, Exit Protocol seems like a straightforward, action-packed movie designed to deliver fast-paced fights and intense hand-to-hand combat. It quickly sets up a collision course between action stars Dolph Lundgren and Michael Jai White, promising a fierce and violent showdown.
For decades, both Dolph Lundgren and Michael Jai White have been prominent figures in action and thriller films, and they continue to stay active. Lundgren is scheduled to appear in several upcoming projects, including the sci-fi action film Holiguards Saga – The Portal of Force, directed by Kevin Spacey. He’ll also star in the action thriller Hellfire alongside Stephen Lang of Avatar and Harvey Keitel of Pulp Fiction. Additionally, he’s anticipated to make a cameo appearance in Amazon’s new Masters of the Universe reboot.
Michael Jai White is staying busy, showcasing his talents in the action thriller Hostile Takeover. He’s also working again with Exit Protocol writer Chad Law on another thriller, The Hook. Additionally, he’ll be appearing in Drive Through Fire, where he helps a frightened rideshare passenger escape human traffickers, takes the lead in the revenge story Father, Where Art Thou?, and stars in the creatively named Karate Ghost.
