Over the years, Adult Swim has become known for popular and critically praised shows. While series like Rick and Morty and Smiling Friends have enjoyed multiple seasons, not every show on Cartoon Network gets a long run. Recently, one animated series—which featured a lot of action—has been left in an uncertain position. Adult Swim hasn’t confirmed whether the show, which premiered in 2024, has been canceled or if it will return for a second season.
Premiering in November 2024, Invincible Fight Girl tells the story of a determined accountant who dreams of becoming a professional wrestler. Over ten episodes, she trains with her Aunt P, striving to reach the top of the wrestling world. Though not an anime itself, the Adult Swim series features action sequences inspired by the Japanese animation style. Created by Juston Gordon-Montomgery and produced by Cartoon Network Studios, the show concluded in the same year it began, and its future remains uncertain. The first season ended with the protagonist, Andy, receiving a major opportunity with the “GWC,” leaving plenty of potential storylines for a possible second season.
Invincible Fight Girl Season 2?

In 2024, we at egmr.ru spoke with the creator of Invincible Fight Girl about the show’s production timeline. Considering it was first announced in 2022, the lack of news about a second season is understandable. Creator Montgomery explained the unexpectedly positive reception, saying the project started as an attempt to create something unique for Western audiences, without knowing how popular it would become. He was especially thrilled it would air on Toonami, a channel with personal significance for him. He admitted that, back in 2022, he never imagined the show would reach this level of success.
Even though Invincible Fight Girl wasn’t technically an anime, it was just as exciting as many of the action shows that aired on Adult Swim. This month, Adult Swim’s programming on Cartoon Network continued to deliver with the return of Primal for its third season. Hopefully, there’s more to Andy’s story, and you can watch it now on HBO Max.
