Alex Cooper Is Pregnant, Expecting First Baby With Husband Matt Kaplan

Alex Cooper can start calling herself mommy.

The host of Call Her Daddy announced she and her husband, Matt Kaplan, are expecting a baby.

On May 17th, she shared a series of photos on Instagram showcasing her baby bump, with the simple caption: “Our family.”

In the cute photos, Matt is sitting in a chair with his back to the camera, while Alex—dressed in white flowy pants and a crop top—is perched on the arm of the chair.

Alex gently rests her hand on her belly while her husband playfully touches her thigh, both of them smiling at the podcaster.

Alex and Matt first connected through a Zoom call in 2020, and their romance blossomed from there. Initially, Alex kept her relationship with the Hollywood producer a secret, playfully calling him “Mr. Sexy Zoom Man.” She didn’t reveal his identity until they got engaged in 2023.

One year later, Alex and Matt tied the knot in a lowkey beachside wedding in Riviera Maya, Mexico.

“It was exactly what we hoped for,” Alex, 31, shared with Vogue. “The day felt deeply personal and meaningful, and we made sure every detail reflected our vision.”

Planning the wedding was easy for her, as Matt, 42, took care of almost all the details – the only thing she handled personally was choosing her custom wedding dress from Danielle Frankel.

Honestly, I was so relaxed throughout the whole process, and it’s all thanks to Matt. He really handled everything, and it went perfectly – I can’t thank him enough for taking on so much!

I’ve always known Matt was something special, but seeing their wedding day just confirmed it. It reminded me of when I first realized he was ‘the one.’ Four years ago, I was diagnosed with HPV after a difficult experience, and he was just incredible – so supportive and understanding. That’s when I knew I could count on him for anything, and that we belonged together.

She shared on her August 2024 podcast, Call Her Daddy, that things were getting serious with Matt, and it was difficult. For the first time, she could see a future with a partner. She realized she’d been afraid to admit a major fear: that a past mistake might affect her ability to have children. Matt was the first boyfriend who made her think about wanting kids at all.

I knew I needed to be truthful with him, so I told him everything. He was incredibly loving, understanding, and supportive.

Six months after Alex underwent treatment for the virus, she was HPV negative.

Alex recalled having conversations with Matt, wondering if the spark was still there. She explained that a truly supportive partner doesn’t worry about such things. They’re simply there to love and support you, no matter what.
