I’m so hyped for Avengers: Doomsday coming out later this year! When they started announcing the cast, it was already amazing to see so many familiar faces returning from past Marvel movies. But then they added Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, and James Marsden – reprising their roles from the X-Men films! – and it blew everyone away. It made it pretty clear this movie was going to be massive, with tons of Marvel characters. Honestly, most of us fans figured that cast list wasn’t everything – we suspected there were even more surprises coming!
Recent trailers for Avengers: Doomsday have sparked a lot of discussion about the movie’s story. Beyond that, they’ve surprisingly shown us some characters who weren’t expected to be involved. Although the trailers haven’t revealed much about the actual plot, they do seem to confirm that certain characters will appear in Avengers: Doomsday.
3) Steve Rogers’ Baby

Although fans expected Steve Rogers to reappear in Avengers: Doomsday, the trailer revealing his return still held a surprise: Rogers had a child after the events of Avengers: Endgame. The trailer briefly shows Rogers happily holding his baby, but doesn’t reveal who the child is. This suggests Doomsday will definitely explore Rogers’ family life and feature his child in some way.
2) Love

The future of Love, Thor’s adopted daughter, in the Marvel Cinematic Universe was unclear for a while. We last saw her with Thor at the end of Thor: Love and Thunder. Although she wasn’t originally listed in the cast for Doomsday, the movie’s trailer now shows she will be back. While it doesn’t look like she’ll have a huge part in the film, the trailer suggests she’ll be a key reason why Thor comes out of retirement to battle Doctor Doom.
1) Namora

The Multiverse Saga has brought a lot of new characters to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and the latest trailer for Avengers: Doomsday confirms the return of one that many fans had forgotten. Namora, who was first introduced in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever as a key advisor and skilled warrior to Namor, hasn’t been seen since. Her appearance in the trailer reminds audiences of her place in the MCU and suggests she’ll continue to be a part of the ongoing Multiverse Saga.
