Currently, a team of 700 to 800 people is working on Ananta, a very ambitious anime-style open-world game.
Honestly, the hype is totally justified! Seeing the gameplay, it’s clear they’ve taken everything great about games like Marvel’s Spider-Man, GTA 5, and even Batman: Arkham Asylum and combined it all into one amazing title. I wasn’t shocked to hear how well it’s doing, it just looks fantastic!
Even so, the number is incredibly large, highlighting the massive team effort needed to create a game like this.
We learned this figure during an interview with Lead Producer Ashley Qi, whom we spoke with earlier this week.

He also suggested the developer intends to expand the game with additional cities and countries through updates after it launches, meaning players can look forward to a significant amount of new content down the line.
Just so you know, this game isn’t going to make money by making you collect characters – thankfully! Instead, they’re planning to sell cosmetic items for your characters, like outfits and accessories. I’m much happier with that!
I finally got to play it at the Tokyo Game Show this week, and I’m so excited to tell you it’s actually a fully playable game! You can check out all my thoughts and impressions right here.
