An Atomfall TV Adaptation Is Coming From People That Actually Played The Game

To say that 2025’s Atomfall was a delightful surprise is an understatement.

We were really impressed with this new game. It feels original and exciting, especially when so many games lately have just been updated versions of older titles. It definitely stands out and is a must-play for anyone who enjoys open-world adventures.

Atomfall is truly impressive for daring to break from typical open-world game design. But it’s even more remarkable for succeeding – the game creates a world that feels incredibly immersive, captivating, and beautiful.

What really impressed me, beyond the game’s captivating and intriguing world, was its strong British identity. Atomfall clearly embraces its influences, and it definitely left me wanting to play more.

There’s positive news regarding Atomfall! It won’t be continued as a sequel or downloadable content, but Two Brothers Pictures is turning it into a TV series.

The Atomfall Television Series Is Being Developed By The Team Behind Fleabag

Whenever I find out a video game is getting turned into a TV show or movie, the first thing I check is who’s working on it. It’s super important to me that they actually get the game – that they respect it and clearly understand what makes it special. I need to know they’re fans, too!

Consider the Fallout series as a good example. The showrunners, Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, have a proven track record of success, and Todd Howard from the game developers was involved to maintain the show’s faithfulness to the original game’s world and characters.

Atomfall appears to be in capable hands this time around. The show is being written and executive produced by Harry and Jack Williams, the creators of the popular comedy Fleabag. Importantly, they’re also already fans of the Atomfall source material.

According to Jason Kingsley, CEO and Creative Director of Atomfall developer Rebellion Developments, players Harry and Jack were really enthusiastic about the game, even discussing their favorite ways it could end while they were playing. He said it’s fantastic to collaborate with people who are as passionate about storytelling as they are, and he’s confident this partnership will result in a TV series that both fans of Atomfall and new viewers will enjoy.

Harry and Jack Williams admire the distinct British sensibility of Atomfall and are committed to preserving it.

Atomfall’s unique British atmosphere and setting have made developing it with the team at Rebellion a true pleasure – particularly because our brotherly duo is collaborating with theirs (Jason and Chris Kingsley, Rebellion’s founders). It’s incredibly exciting to bring this unusual and intriguing story to the screen.

With the huge popularity of the Fallout show on Prime Video, the upcoming adaptation of Atomfall has the potential to be another successful series, assuming it closely follows the original story. It’s currently unknown if the show will feature another memorable character like a priest.
