ARC Raiders Developer Says it Focused on Underperforming Augments For Future Updates

Embark Studios explained why they significantly improved the Tactical Mk. 3 (Healing) augment. According to the update notes, the augment’s Cloud of Renewal now heals multiple players in an area (AoE), with the healing amount increased from 20 to 45. However, the ability now has a longer cooldown, increasing from 30 to 45 seconds.

The latest update included a note from the developers explaining their plan to improve weaker augments and make them as effective as the most popular ones. This time, they focused on improving the Tactical Mk. 3 (Healing) augment, with a smaller boost also given to the Combat Mk. 3 (Flanking) augment. Future updates will likely include further changes based on how players are using the augments.

I was really happy to see the latest update focus on Augments that needed a boost! The developers said they’re still working on making underperforming ones better, and this patch delivers. Specifically, they’ve made the Tactical Mk. 3 (Healing) Augment way more useful for supporting your team – now you can even heal people after you revive them, which is awesome. They also beefed up the Combat Mk. 3 (Flanking) so it’s more effective when you’re trying to get behind enemy lines. It sounds like they’re really trying to make all the Augments viable, and I’m excited to try these changes out!

Instead of weakening strong options, the development team has been focusing on improving tools that aren’t being used much. This approach has pleased many players, as it means currently favored choices, like the Survivor augment, haven’t been altered – at least not yet.

I was so excited about the latest update – they added a new weapon called the Rascal! It’s a sidearm, and the developers at Embark Studios said it’s perfect for taking out ARCs if you don’t want to use up a valuable slot for a bigger weapon like the Hullcracker. It’s a great option for keeping things light and still being able to deal with those pesky robots!

This update introduces the Nomadic Envoys, a new group players can engage with. Ermal, a trader from this faction, offers a rotating selection of items each week, including cosmetic items, blueprints, and Raider Tokens. The Nomadic Envoys also advance the ongoing story of ARC Raiders, which has been unfolding gradually through character interactions and previous updates.

Nexon recently announced that ARC Raiders sold 4.6 million copies just last quarter, bringing its total lifetime sales to over 16 million.
