ARC Raiders: How to Defeat Shredder the Easiest Way

In the ARC Raiders map Stella Montis, you’ll encounter a dangerous ARC called the Shredder. Knowing how to beat it quickly is crucial for staying alive.

The Shredder is dangerous because it constantly fires damaging shrapnel in all directions. This is especially problematic when you’re fighting it up close. And, coincidentally, most of the Stella Montis map forces you into those close-range battles – not a great combination!

In this guide, we’ll tell you some easy ways to deal with the menacing Shredders.

How to Defeat Shredder the Easiest Way | ARC Raiders

The simplest way to beat Shredders is with grenades. Snap Blast and Seeker grenades work especially well – just two or three will quickly destroy one!

If you see a Shredder approaching, quickly hide behind a wall. Then, toss two or three grenades at it. Give it a moment for the Shredder to explode and you’ll be safe.

If you prefer not to use grenades, you’ll need a weapon that can effectively pierce ARC Armor. The Ferro and Anvil are both good options for this, as always.

When using these weapons, target the thrusters located on the underside of the Shredder. Don’t waste shots on its glowing eye – it’s heavily armored! The eye is a distraction, meant to trick you into thinking it’s a weak spot like on other ARCs.

Similar to using grenades, it’s important to stay far away from the Shredder while you attack it. It moves slowly, making it easy to avoid and stay hidden from.

Stay out of the Shredder’s attack range and always use cover. Its shrapnel explosions deal huge damage and can kill you very quickly.
