ARC Raiders Teases Unleashing Stella Montis’s Shredders on Other Maps Next Week

A small update is now available for ARC Raiders, adding a new Raider Tool and Backpack. The bigger ‘Flashpoint’ update launches next week, and the developers hint that dangerous creatures called Shredders might be escaping on Stella Montis.

The game’s future plans hint at a new threat from ARC, but it’s unclear if this will be the Shredder appearing on different levels or something completely new. Either way, it’s expected to be difficult, especially with the possible addition of unpredictable weather like thunderstorms. Along with these changes coming in the Flashpoint update, players can also look forward to a new Player Project and improvements to Scrappy, the clever rooster.

Although it’s still generally rated positively, it recently moved from “Very Positive” to “Mostly Positive,” with 78% of recent user reviews recommending the game.

Steam is still seeing a healthy number of players, recently peaking at over 125,000 concurrent users, although numbers are down from the beginning of the year. The new Flashpoint update could bring players back, and the game is expected to remain popular for a while, especially considering it has already sold 14 million copies – surpassing Nexon’s initial projections.
