Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced Gameplay Reveals Social Stealth, Parkour, and Gorgeous Weather

The marketing for Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced is moving quickly, but early signs look promising. IGN recently released new gameplay footage of Edward Kenway in action – you can check it out below.

The game continues to emphasize social stealth, just as Ubisoft Singapore explained last week. Players can still blend in by sitting on benches and concealing themselves with their hood. They can also bribe people to create diversions, which always adds to the fun of sneaking around. Plus, the ability to crouch whenever and wherever you want makes stealth even more appealing.

There’s a lot to admire in the game, particularly the realistic and ever-changing weather—powered by the same technology as Assassin’s Creed Shadows. This weather beautifully impacts the environment as you navigate with Edward, and watching the trees move in the wind is surprisingly captivating, almost as enjoyable as the stealthy assassinations and the thrilling Leap of Faith.

Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced arrives on July 9th for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC. The overall map stays the same, but Ubisoft says they’ve added more islands and locations within the cities to make exploration richer. While you won’t be able to use the Hidden Blade as its own weapon, the game offers other strategies to compensate.
