I’m aware other arcade racing games have tried similar control setups – Inertial Drift from 2020, for example – but I hadn’t played it, so I wasn’t prepared. I’ve played plenty of twin-stick shooters, but that experience didn’t translate here. Screamer feels fundamentally different. The best way to describe how strange it is, is to imagine writing with your weaker hand. You understand how pens work and can probably manage to write something, but it won’t look like your normal handwriting.

After some hints from Harry Potter fans who got a sneak peek at the show’s set, HBO has now released an official photo featuring young actor Dominic McLaughlin as Harry Potter. The photo shows McLaughlin from behind, wearing Harry’s Quidditch uniform and carrying his gear as he walks towards the Quidditch pitch at Hogwarts. Along with the captivating first look, the show’s creators shared a mysterious message: just the word “Tomorrow” followed by an emoji.

The animated film The Wild Robot, from DreamWorks, is now streaming on Peacock after previously being available on Netflix. Directed by Chris Sanders and adapted from Peter Brown’s 2016 novel, the movie tells the story of a robot who crashes on a deserted island. She survives by learning to live in the wilderness and forms friendships with the animals, eventually raising an orphaned gosling named Brightbill. Released in 2024, The Wild Robot – featuring Catherine O’Hara in her final role – was both a critical and commercial hit. A sequel, based on Brown’s book The Wild Robot Escapes, is already planned.

FromSoftware launched Bloodborne on March 24, 2015, and it quickly became a standout title in the challenging ‘Souls-like’ genre. It masterfully delivers on everything players expect – tough gameplay, a captivating atmosphere, rich world-building, and a truly immersive experience in a world that is both dangerous and intriguing. Even after over a decade, many still consider it the best game of its kind, praising its distinctive setting, memorable design, and the significant impact it’s had on the genre. However, despite its enduring quality, Bloodborne hasn’t moved forward with the times.

So, I’m excited to hear that Headup’s whole library of games is now part of something bigger! That means I’ll be able to play titles like Bridge Constructor, Pumpkin Jack, and even Super Meat Boy 3D – and hopefully, even more of their upcoming stuff. Pretty cool, right?
