Many superhero TV shows haven’t succeeded, and often, like Inhumans, they were simply poorly made and didn’t deserve to last. However, some shows were cancelled before they had a real chance. Here are five examples of superhero series that ended too quickly.
With the Uncharted series on hold, Indiana Jones arrived as a thrilling adventure game similar to Nathan Drake’s escapades. Originally released on Xbox Series X|S and PC, it quickly came to PS5, offering players a chance to explore vast, beautiful environments and solve puzzles using a trusty whip.

Even well-developed characters on TV shows often have to wrap up their storylines when an actor leaves. There are many reasons why an actor might leave, and sometimes it’s unavoidable. It can feel odd to continue a show without a key player, but occasionally those actors return! While the reasons for coming back differ, it’s always a pleasant surprise and a win for fans when a beloved character reappears after leaving.
Even though he wasn’t a central character in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, Saracen’s first appearance as part of Emil Blonsky’s retreat, Summer Twilight, officially introduced vampires into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. While we haven’t seen Saracen use any vampire powers yet, and the character himself (played brilliantly by Terrence Clowe) claimed to be one, there’s no reason to doubt his identity. Saracen’s arrival in the MCU establishes one of Marvel’s strongest vampires and creates opportunities for more to appear in the future.
Ryan Coogler, the director behind hits like Black Panther and Creed, released Sinners in theaters this April to widespread praise. The film quickly earned a 97% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and received overwhelmingly positive reviews, including many 5-star ratings on Letterboxd. One critic gave it 4.5 stars, calling it “impeccably paced” and praising Coogler as a “generational talent” with a compelling artistic vision. Sinners became available on Prime Video on December 26th.
