I was listening to the D-Con Chamber podcast with Connor Trinneer and Dominic Keating – you know, from Star Trek: Enterprise – and Robert Picardo shared something really interesting. He actually pitched an idea to the showrunners of Star Trek: Starfleet Academy, and they were planning to use it in season three! Apparently, it involved bringing back a story thread that was originally conceived about 30 years ago and updating it for the new series. It sounds like it could have been a cool way to connect the past and present of Star Trek.

Axe Body Spray recently posted a funny, yet slightly unsettling, video on Instagram that looks like a hostage situation. They’re jokingly demanding that Netflix release the second episode of Steel Ball Run. Fans have been passionately asking for the anime’s return since the first episode aired, and many have been sharing a distorted image of the character Johnny Joestar online. Axe jumped on the hype by creating a fake line of their body spray featuring this same image on the cans. Netflix hasn’t officially responded, but the excitement for the return of Johnny and Gyro is clearly building.

You could immediately sense that even in its simple form, this project aimed for something grand. It felt like a guide on how to successfully adapt a complex story without sacrificing the richness of its world. It’s exciting to see a highly anticipated movie now doing just that, within the same fictional universe.

The world of 3D fighting games hasn’t seen much excitement recently, with fans looking to Tekken 8 and the upcoming Virtua Fighter for a revival. Meanwhile, 2D fighting games are doing very well, with several new titles like Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game, Invincible Vs., and Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls scheduled for release in 2026. Despite the anticipation for these big, ambitious games, plenty of fun can still be had with simpler, free-to-play fighting games.

One of the highlights of the comic MAD About DC #1 is a parody called “Absolute Cash-In” by Tom Taylor and Bruno Redondo, which directly spoofs DC’s Absolute series. The story begins with a man rising from a pool of red liquid, describing the agonizing pain of being reborn. The source of his pain isn’t what you’d expect, though – he’s been bathing in sriracha! This man harbors a deep hatred for all sauces, stemming from a tragic past where his parents were killed in an accident involving a sauce truck. However, by completing this fiery bath, he’s finally confronted and overcome his fears.

This update includes a couple of highly requested features: you can now see other players’ headgear, and your personal storage has been expanded. It also includes a change to the movement controls. While the previous update altered how movement works, this one adds an option to switch back to the original controls if you prefer.
