Star Trek Cancellation Killed a Dream Voyager Payoff With 30 Years of Build-Up

I was listening to the D-Con Chamber podcast with Connor Trinneer and Dominic Keating – you know, from Star Trek: Enterprise – and Robert Picardo shared something really interesting. He actually pitched an idea to the showrunners of Star Trek: Starfleet Academy, and they were planning to use it in season three! Apparently, it involved bringing back a story thread that was originally conceived about 30 years ago and updating it for the new series. It sounds like it could have been a cool way to connect the past and present of Star Trek.
