As the release of Avengers: Doomsday gets closer, fans are eager to see certain Avengers team up with members of the X-Men on the big screen. Since Avengers: Endgame, the Marvel Cinematic Universe has been setting the stage for a large-scale Multiverse Saga, culminating in a two-part Avengers movie. The first part, Avengers: Doomsday, already boasts an impressive cast, including familiar MCU heroes, returning favorites, and exciting new characters. While the Avengers will be central to the story, several X-Men characters are also expected to play significant roles in Doomsday.
The news that several X-Men will appear in Avengers: Doomsday has generated a lot of buzz, especially since it hints at a conflict between the Avengers and the X-Men. Rumors suggest the two famous Marvel teams will face off in the movie, and that’s made fans even more excited. While not all of these are guaranteed to happen, here are some of the best Avengers versus X-Men battles we’d like to see in Avengers: Doomsday.
10) Spider-Man Vs Beast
Spider-Man movies have featured some fantastic action sequences, but a possible fight between the Avengers and the X-Men could be among his most impressive. While Spider-Man could handle several X-Men in a battle, some would be much tougher opponents. Beast is one of those challenging foes, possessing both the strength and intelligence to give Spider-Man a real fight.
A fight between Beast and Spider-Man would be incredibly exciting, as Beast is one of the few X-Men who could truly go toe-to-toe with him. However, it’s unlikely to happen in the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday movie. Although Kelsey Grammer is reprising his role as Beast, Tom Holland won’t be appearing as Spider-Man. With Spider-Man currently focused on other projects (Brand New Day), this fantastic fight seems impossible in Doomsday, despite how much fans might want it.
9) Captain Marvel Vs Storm
As a huge MCU fan, I think Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel is easily one of their best heroes, but it’s frustrating that she hasn’t been officially confirmed for Avengers: Doomsday yet! Everyone seems to be saying she’ll be in it, which is more than we can say about Storm. A lot of us really want to see Halle Berry reprise her role with the rest of the X-Men team, but so far, there’s been no hint that’s going to happen. Fingers crossed!
As a huge Marvel fan, the thought of Captain Marvel going head-to-head with Storm is seriously exciting! Imagine seeing two of the most powerful women in the Marvel Universe battling it out – both can fly and their fight could reach unbelievable heights. I know it probably won’t happen in the next Avengers movie, but I’m still holding out hope that we’ll get to see this epic showdown someday!
8) Iron Man Vs Magneto
Throughout the first eleven years of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Iron Man had many memorable moments. His death in Avengers: Endgame was a key event for the series, but with the introduction of the multiverse, there’s still a possibility he could return in a future movie. If Iron Man does appear in Avengers: Doomsday, a fight between him and Magneto, as played by Ian McKellen, would be incredibly exciting.
Ian McKellen is confirmed to return as Magneto, and his magnetic powers initially seem like a major advantage against Iron Man. However, the comic books reveal that Tony Stark developed ways to counter Magneto’s abilities, creating a more balanced fight. If Iron Man does return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, a showdown between these two popular and compelling characters would be an amazing sight.
7) Thor Vs Phoenix
As a huge MCU fan, I’ve watched Thor evolve into one of its most iconic and powerful heroes. He’s been an Avenger since the very beginning and consistently takes on the biggest, baddest villains. But I’ve been thinking about potential matchups, and one X-Men character, the Phoenix, could really push him to his limits in a future Avengers film – maybe even a ‘Doomsday’ scenario. It’d be an epic clash!
Despite Famke Janssen saying she won’t be in Avengers: Doomsday, many believe she’ll return as Jean Grey from the original X-Men films. While Jean Grey’s powerful Phoenix form could defeat most Marvel characters, Thor is one of the few who might be able to withstand her, even if just for a little while. If they do fight, it could be one of the most thrilling battles in the movie.
6) The Thing Vs Colossus
Several Marvel characters are incredibly powerful, and the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday movie might feature a fight between two of them. The Thing, who recently debuted in the MCU in The Fantastic Four: First Steps, has teamed up with the Avengers in Marvel comics before. Colossus, a well-known member of the X-Men, is also rumored to be returning in Doomsday after originating in Fox’s Marvel films.
Many fans are hoping to see the Thing and Colossus fight in the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday movie, and it’s easy to see why. The Thing recently joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe as a very powerful and durable hero, and Colossus is the X-Men character with similar abilities. It’s looking less and less likely that Hulk will be in Avengers: Doomsday, but there’s still a small chance he could show up unexpectedly. As one of the Avengers’ most powerful members, Hulk could have some amazing fights with the X-Men. But one potential battle, in particular, is especially exciting to fans.
As a huge Marvel fan, I’m still buzzing about the potential for a live-action Hulk versus Wolverine fight – it’s a classic matchup! We got a little taste of it in the trailer for Deadpool & Wolverine with all that multiverse stuff, and honestly, I’m hoping we actually get to see it happen before this whole Multiverse Saga wraps up. Everyone’s thinking Avengers: Secret Wars is the most likely place for it, but I wouldn’t rule out a brawl in Doomsday either. Fingers crossed!
2) Thor Vs Storm
It’s still uncertain if Storm will be in Avengers: Doomsday, but if she is, a fight with Thor seems inevitable. Thor is one of the MCU’s most powerful heroes, and Storm would be a formidable challenge for him. With Thor already confirmed to play a significant role in Doomsday, Storm’s inclusion could set the stage for an epic battle between the two.
Thor is famous for his lightning powers, but Storm’s control over the weather might actually make her more powerful. Interestingly, Storm is also worshipped as a goddess within the Marvel Universe, which would make a fight between them incredibly impressive. While it’s uncertain if they’ll ever clash, a battle between these two would be a fantastic addition to any large-scale conflict, like a potential Avengers vs. X-Men event.
1) Captain America (Steve Rogers) Vs Cyclops
A recent trailer for Avengers: Doomsday featured Cyclops, creating a lot of excitement about his part in the film. It’s highly probable we’ll see him fighting alongside the main Avengers. The movie might even give James Marsden’s Cyclops a chance to shine, potentially leading a team of X-Men. This could lead to a particularly exciting showdown between Cyclops and Captain America (Steve Rogers).
A fight between the leaders of the Avengers and the X-Men would be an incredible spectacle. They were central figures in the “Avengers vs X-Men” comic storyline, where their teams clashed in a major war. A scene of Captain America deflecting Cyclops’ energy beams with his shield would be amazing on the big screen, and it’s one of the most exciting rumored fights for the upcoming “Avengers: Doomsday” movie.
