Nicolas Cage Reuniting With Director of 28-Year-Old Cult Sci-Fi Film for New Gangster Movie

Nicolas Cage and director John Woo, who famously worked together on Face/Off, are teaming up again after 28 years. According to Deadline, their new movie, Gambino, will tell the story of Carlo Gambino, a powerful crime boss in New York City. The film will chart Gambino’s life, from his humble beginnings as a butcher’s son in Sicily to his eventual control of New York’s criminal underworld.

One of the Best Webtoons Will Release an Anime Adaptation Sooner Than Expected

The popularity of Korean webcomics isn’t limited to Solo Leveling; series like Tower of God and True Beauty have also gained a large international following. According to Variety, Webtoon Entertainment and Warner Bros. Animation are working together to create animated adaptations of ten popular webcomics. In a recent interview, Yongsoo Kim, head of global strategy at Webtoon Entertainment, and Sam Register, president of Warner Bros. Animation and Cartoon Network Studio, announced that four titles have been chosen so far, including The Stellar Swordsmaster. While confirmed, The Stellar Swordsmaster is still in early development, and more information will be released later.

I Think Star Wars Should Absolutely Bring Back Adam Driver’s Ben Solo

It’s now clear why Lucasfilm has had trouble deciding what to do with Star Wars. Their initial plan was a film called The Hunt for Ben Solo, which would have brought Adam Driver’s character back to life in a mysterious storyline. A complete script was written by Steven Soderbergh, approved by Lucasfilm, and even had a budget and scheduled start date. However, Disney executives Bob Iger and Alan Bergman cancelled the project, leaving the future of Star Wars uncertain ever since.

Stephen King Breaks Silence On Divisive Sci-Fi Remake’s New Ending

I’ve been following the development of Edgar Wright’s The Running Man adaptation with a lot of excitement, and it’s fascinating to hear about his approach. He really wanted to stay truer to Stephen King’s original novel than the 80s movie did, but naturally, some changes were made for the screen. The biggest shift, and the one I think was most thoughtfully done, was the ending. In the book, the hero crashes a plane, which would understandably bring up difficult memories for many. Wright made the call to alter that, and thankfully, King himself signed off on it! It’s great to now hear directly from King about how he feels about the new direction—it sounds like he’s really pleased with how it turned out.

One of Star Wars’ Most Compelling Stories Never Told Almost Happened 8 Years Ago

The game’s story mode also received a lot of criticism when it first came out. While it looked polished, the single-player campaign only lasted about six hours and had a plot that was easy to guess. It started with some interesting ideas but quickly made them too simple, wasting their potential. Even now, years later, it’s disappointing to think about how great the Battlefront II campaign could have been.

Sorry, But This Might Actually Be the Worst Batman Story of All Time, & The First Page Explains Why

From the start, the “H2SH” comic has been problematic. Though the creators of the original “Hush” story, Jeph Loeb and Jim Lee, teamed up again over twenty years later for this sequel, it hasn’t resonated with fans. Aside from significant delays that caused “H2SH” to launch at the same time as a new Batman comic, the storyline feels disjointed and disregards established history. Issue #162 of Batman (2016) is the fifth installment in this disappointing series, and the very first page perfectly illustrates everything that’s wrong with it.
