Players will venture into a previously unexplored section of the Olympic Exclusion Zone and encounter a mysterious cult. The show expands on the rich story from Stephen King’s 1986 novel IT, exploring parts of the book that haven’t been shown on screen yet. The IT movies from 2017 and 2019 focused on Bill, Bev, Richie, and the rest of The Loser Club’s fight against Pennywise. Welcome to Derry, however, looks at the backstory of the town and the supernatural events that have caused so much tragedy for its residents over the years, drawing from the ‘interlude’ sections of the novel.

The last episode will be available on Netflix at 5pm Pacific Time on December 31st, 2025 (which is January 1st in the UK). It will also be shown in over 350 cinemas at the same time as the Netflix release, and screenings will continue into the next day.
In his latest movie, Deliver Me From Nowhere, the actor from The Bear traded his usual white t-shirt and apron for a more rugged look – flannels and tank tops – to portray Bruce Springsteen.
The update removes limitations on side and back ejects, giving players more flexibility in movement. Now, these moves can be performed from any height. Additionally, the parkour system has been improved with features like vertical ledge grabs working on more surfaces and the addition of directional ledge catching, enhancing movement options whether or not the new eject features are enabled.
This update doesn’t include the new Claws of Awaji expansion, which will be released for the Switch 2 next year. That expansion adds over ten hours of gameplay, including a new region with new enemies and a new weapon: the Bo staff. If you already own the original game, you’ll get the basic Bo staff for free, and you can find more powerful versions within the Awaji region.
