Currently, the game Marathon is really feeling the impact of past issues. While it’s a well-made game with fun shooting and smooth controls, and has a cool idea behind it, it’s been hard for it to overcome the negative feelings players have towards Bungie. Years of disappointment with how Bungie has handled updates and ongoing support have created a lot of distrust, and that’s affecting how people see this new game – even if the game itself is good.

Having made a fortune with his magazine, Guccione decided to fund a new type of filmmaking. He invested his own money in a movie about the infamous Roman Emperor Caligula, gathering a talented cast including Malcolm McDowell in the lead role, alongside Peter O’Toole, John Gielgud, and Helen Mirren. Filming began in 1976 at Rome’s Cinecitta studios, where elaborate sets were constructed. The screenplay, written by Gore Vidal, tells the story of the cautious young Caligula (McDowell) who, haunted by his family’s murder, overthrows his manipulative adoptive grandfather (O’Toole) and takes control of the weakening Roman Empire, ultimately falling into a cycle of corruption, ruin, and insanity.

A new Dracula project, titled The Brides, is in the works, based on Charlotte Cross’s popular novel (according to Bloody Disgusting). The film will focus on the story of the three women who became Dracula’s brides, and the one who successfully escaped. Interestingly, The Brides will serve as both a prequel and a sequel to Francis Ford Coppola’s Bram Stoker’s Dracula.

Okay, so I was getting worried about needing the physical disc all the time, but it looks like this game does need an internet connection to actually play! Even though it’s on Blu-ray, you’ll have to download a pretty big patch on day one before you can jump in. A little annoying, but at least we know now!
