Avengers: Doomsday AI Trailers Flood Social Media – Don’t Be Fooled

Marvel Studios started promoting Avengers: Doomsday a year before the movie came out, beginning with a teaser trailer that showed Chris Evans would be back as Captain America. This first teaser was followed by three more over the next month, each focusing on different characters who would be important to the story. Although many characters are confirmed to be in Doomsday and haven’t been featured in any trailers yet, fans were hoping for additional previews. While a fifth official teaser never materialized, some new footage has appeared online. However, fans shouldn’t be misled – this isn’t new content.

Fake trailers for the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday movie are spreading online, particularly on platforms like X. These trailers are designed to look like shaky, secretly recorded footage from movie theaters. They even include characters who weren’t in the official previews, like members of the Fantastic Four, Doctor Strange, Sam Wilson, and Doctor Doom. With AI technology becoming so sophisticated, these realistic fakes are fooling some fans. It’s important for movie fans to be careful and double-check information they find online about upcoming films.

When Will We See the Next Avengers: Doomsday Trailer?

Fans noticed three more short previews for Doomsday added to Korea’s ratings board, which initially led to speculation that Marvel might release as many as seven trailers before the Super Bowl. However, since no new preview appeared this past week, it’s more likely that Marvel just updated the existing previews with new edits. If a fifth unique teaser had been created, it would have likely been released by now, following the pattern of the first four – which all played in theaters for a weekend before becoming available online the following Tuesday.

Now that the weekly sneak peeks seem to be finished, fans are wondering when the next trailer for Doomsday will be released. The Super Bowl is a strong possibility, as Disney has often used the event to premiere trailers for its Marvel movies – like Deadpool & Wolverine and The Fantastic Four: First Steps – in the past. Given that fans are eager to see Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom, the Super Bowl would be a perfect opportunity to reveal a new trailer to a massive audience. However, with Doomsday still months away, it’s unclear if Marvel will share more footage at this time.

Let’s talk marketing strategies, because the rollout for Sony’s Spider-Man: Brand New Day has been interesting. There was chatter about maybe attaching a trailer to Disney’s Avatar: Fire and Ash, but that didn’t happen. Honestly, it made sense to hold off. Disney was heavily promoting Doomsday, and anything Spider-Man would have gotten lost in the shuffle. It seems like Disney and Sony have an unspoken agreement not to step on each other’s toes with their marketing, which is smart. I’m predicting we’ll finally get a good look at Brand New Day during Super Bowl Sunday. That timing makes sense – the film is still about five months away from release, giving them plenty of time to build hype without overwhelming audiences.

When it comes to Marvel movie trailers, fans should only watch them on official Marvel accounts or the verified social media pages of actors involved. It’s becoming increasingly difficult to tell what’s real online, especially in 2026, with the rise of AI-generated content. To avoid being tricked by fake videos or photos, it’s best to assume any unofficial “leaks” are AI until proven otherwise – this is especially true for big movies like those in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
