
The lineup for Radio 1’s Big Weekend 2026 is starting to take shape, and music icon Fatboy Slim will kick things off as the headliner on the first night.
Radio 1’s biggest music festival is coming back to Herrington Country Park from Friday, May 22nd to Sunday, May 24th. This will be the first time the festival has been held in the area for 21 years.
Other acts on the line-up for 22 May include Sonny Fodera, Danny Howard and Ewan McVicar.
The Friday line-up in alphabetical order is as follows:

Tickets for the Friday Dance Party, an event for adults only, will be available starting at 9am on March 6th. They cost £34.50 each.
Similar to past Big Weekend events, tickets will be distributed based on location. 30% are set aside for people who live in Sunderland, 60% for those in the broader North East region, and the remaining 10% will be available to everyone else in the UK.

The full list of performers for Saturday and Sunday will be revealed on Monday, March 9th, during the Radio 1 Breakfast Show with Greg James. Tickets for both days will then be available for purchase at 5pm on Wednesday.
BBC Radio 1 will be broadcasting live from the festival all weekend long. You can hear performances live and catch up later on BBC Sounds and Radio 1’s iPlayer channel.
