The BBC is launching a new online series on YouTube based on its hit comedy show, ‘Things You Should Have Done.’ This is part of the BBC’s plan to expand its digital content.
Things You Should Have Done is a comedy series on BBC Three. It was created by Lucia Keskin, who is also known online as Chi with a C – a popular internet personality, comedian, and actress.
The story centers around Keskin, a woman who describes herself as a ‘stay-at-home daughter.’ Her life is turned upside down when her parents unexpectedly die in a car accident, leaving her to manage on her own.
To receive her inheritance, she must complete a quirky to-do list her parents left behind, ranging from simple tasks like petting a dog to bigger challenges like finding a job. Each episode follows her as she tries to check off another item on the list, all while exploring the town of Ramsgate, Kent.
The show’s first season premiered in 2024 and was so successful, winning awards like a BAFTA, that it was quickly renewed for a second season which aired earlier in 2024.

In the second series, Chi continued to navigate the complexities of life and loss with the help of her step-cousin Lucas (Jamie Bisping) and her unconventional, often inappropriate, grief counselor, Ruth (Bridget Christie).
A new YouTube series called “What Have You Done?” has been announced. The show features the quirky hosts Chi and Lucas welcoming eight confused celebrities for a ride on a pedalo at Ramsgate Boating Lake.
Celebrities and hosts share stories about things they regret not doing, and also reveal some embarrassing or regrettable moments from their past.
Jon Petrie, BBC Director of Comedy, said they immediately agreed to the new YouTube series after Chi presented a truly unique and exciting idea.
Imagine being stuck on a paddle boat with Chi and Lucas while answering tough questions about your life! Our celebrity guests definitely face some challenges. Welcome to the pedalo!
“What Have You Done?” is a BBC initiative to create content specifically for YouTube. It focuses on short, engaging videos featuring interesting people, aiming to attract new viewers to both YouTube and BBC iPlayer.
Big Zuu, Kate Garraway, Sam Campbell, and Tia Kofi will join Chi and Lucas for chats about what could have been, unrealized ambitions, and secret longings. Future episodes will feature Konnie Huq, Tamzin Outhwaite, Lou Sanders, and Josh Pugh as they share their own stories.
You can now watch the first two episodes, starring Kate Garraway and Big Zuu, on the BBC’s official YouTube channel and BBC iPlayer. New episodes will be released every week.
Series one and two of Things You Should Have Done are available on BBC iPlayer now.
