The Xbox Ally and Xbox Ally X are new handheld gaming PCs, and they’re both impressive. The Xbox Ally X is more powerful and can handle demanding, high-quality games with ease. The standard Xbox Ally is also capable, running optimized 3D games smoothly and excelling at 2D games.
Like all good portable gaming PCs, the Xbox Ally has a range of useful accessories. I’ve put together a list of the best accessories I use with my Xbox Ally and Ally X – things like portable power banks, microSD cards, and carrying cases. Honestly, these are great accessories for almost any PC gaming handheld, and I’ve confirmed they also work perfectly with the Lenovo Legion Go, Steam Deck, and the original ASUS ROG Ally.
The Best Xbox Ally Accessories everyone should own

If I had to recommend just one of these cases, it would be the Tomtoc Arccos. I wasn’t paid to say this, but I was so happy with the Arccos when I first bought it for my older ASUS ROG Ally that I ended up buying other products – a backpack and a travel bag – from the same company. They consistently make excellent, well-built products that don’t cost a fortune. The amount of storage space inside is surprisingly large; it feels like it magically adjusts to fit everything you need.
Having extra storage is always a good idea. I’ve been happy with my SanDisk MicroSD card, but if you plan to store a lot of large or graphically intense games, a faster Lexar UHS-II card might be worth the extra cost. The standard Xbox Ally should work well for 2D games and 3D games that aren’t too demanding, so a UHS-II card isn’t necessary. However, if you want the best possible performance, especially on the more powerful Xbox Ally X, the Lexar UHS-II card is a great option.
The IVANKY dock is another great option. Right now, there aren’t many official accessories available for the Xbox Ally or Xbox Ally X, and even popular brands like JSAUX haven’t announced anything yet. While the IVANKY dock wasn’t specifically made for the Ally series, I’ve been testing it all week and it works perfectly. It fits well, provides a stable connection, and has a sleek design that blends in with home entertainment systems. I might update this recommendation later as more official docks become available.
If you’d like to know more about Xbox Ally accessories, or have any other questions, feel free to leave a comment! I’ll do my best to answer them or suggest some different options.
