With a seasoned developer like Ferguson leading the charge, the game appears to be fully back in development, incorporating many fresh and promising ideas.
As with any major game that’s been in development for a long time, details about BioShock 4 are scarce. Rumors point to Antarctica as the setting, but other locations have also been suggested. Only the development team truly knows what the game will be like, and they’re keeping it a secret. There’s no firm release date either, and with a recent change in leadership, it will probably be several years before fans can revisit the BioShock universe and experience its unique environments and challenging combat.
Early reports suggested BioShock 4 might not be released until 2027, but the release date is still uncertain.
