After 11 years, the popular action-fantasy manga Black Clover by Yuki Tabata has come to an end. The story entered its final storyline in 2022, and due to the author’s health, new chapters began appearing quarterly in Shueisha’s Jump GIGA magazine instead of weekly. This final arc centered on the fight against Lucius Zogratis and the resulting turmoil in the Clover Kingdom. The series concluded with a special release of three chapters on April 30th, 2026, showing the aftermath of the intense battle. The story wrapped up the long-running rivalry between Asta and Yuno, with Asta ultimately becoming the Wizard King. With peace restored, each character has now moved on to pursue their own future.
Soon after the manga finished, a final volume (number 38) and an official guidebook were announced for release in Japan on August 4th, 2026. It will likely take several months before these are available in English. According to @WSJ_manga, a trusted source for Shonen Jump news, the guidebook will feature a brand new 15-page chapter. While many fans hoped for an epilogue with the final volume of a popular series like Black Clover, that won’t be included here. What exactly this new chapter is about remains unknown – it’s unclear if it will serve as an epilogue or something else.
Black Clover‘s Anime Is Set to Return With Its Best Arc Ever
Although the manga has finished, the anime hasn’t covered the last two story arcs yet. When it was announced a year ago that the anime would be back – after being off-air for four years – fans were thrilled! We haven’t gotten many details about when it will return, but it’s certain to continue with the Spade Kingdom Raid Arc.
As the anime nears its end, the Magic Knights of Clover Kingdom and mages from the Heart Kingdom are gearing up for a full-scale attack on the Spade Kingdom. They aim to rescue Yami Sukehiro and William Vangeance while also thwarting the Dark Triad’s scheme to unlock a gateway to the Underworld. The Dark Triad refers to three siblings who are the main villains of this story arc, and they each harbor powerful devils within them.
The Spade Kingdom Arc is widely considered the strongest part of the series thanks to its intense fights, compelling character growth, and surprising twists. The upcoming season will showcase how much the characters have trained, particularly Asta and Yuno, who’ve both become significantly more powerful.
