Letitia Wright, known for her role in Black Panther, may have hinted at some plot points for the upcoming movies Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars.
Okay, so I just heard the latest on the Marvel front – they’re still working on ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ right now, which is exciting! The Russo brothers are directing, and it’s set to hit US theaters in just over a year. And get this – they’re already planning ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’ to follow up in December 2027. It’s going to be a long wait, but I’m already hyped!
What did Letitia Wright potentially reveal about Avengers: Doomsday & Secret Wars?
Wright posted a photo of the ‘Black Panther: Doomwar’ comic, showcasing Shuri, Doctor Doom, and Namor on its cover. While it doesn’t guarantee that ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ will use the same storyline, all three characters are confirmed to appear in the movie, and the comic cover might offer a clue about their roles.

The Black Panther: Doomwar trade paperback tells the story of a new Black Panther fighting to keep Wakanda stable while facing treachery. She ends up in a showdown with the formidable Doctor Doom! When Doom wins, Wakanda becomes a battleground between him and Earth’s mightiest heroes. With Storm’s life hanging in the balance, the X-Men, Fantastic Four, Deadpool, and both T’Challa and Shuri as the Black Panther must unite against Doom. As T’Challa returns home, the story also asks if Shuri will remain queen long enough to confront her enemy, Klaw.
Marvel has announced release dates for two major Avengers films. Avengers: Doomsday will come out on December 18, 2026, and Avengers: Secret Wars is scheduled for December 17, 2027. Both films are part of the sixth phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
