MercurySteam’s action-adventure game, Blades of Fire, was a surprisingly strong title last year, offering unique weapon crafting. Originally available only on the Epic Games Store for PC, it will now launch on Steam on May 14th.
But that’s not everything! Version 2.0 will launch on all platforms at the same time. The new update has a lot to offer, including the highly anticipated New Game Plus, a Photo Mode for capturing your best moments, a challenging Titanium difficulty level, and new weapon customizations in NG+. PC players will also benefit from DLSS 4 support, and everyone can enjoy the new Boss Revival mode, plus even more additions. If you hesitated to play the game before due to earlier feedback, Version 2.0 could be the perfect way to experience it now.
Besides being available on PC, Blades of Fire can also be played on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. While it didn’t sell as well as 505 Games hoped, we thought it was a good game, even with a few imperfections. Many players enjoyed its deliberate, strategic combat. However, the best parts of the game were its crafting system and the strong connection players felt with their weapons.
