A live-action movie adaptation of the popular series Blue Lock is coming to theaters this summer, and the first trailer has just been released. The original Blue Lock manga by Muneyuki Kaneshiro and Yusuke Nomura quickly became a global phenomenon, and the anime adaptation boosted its popularity even further. Now, with the anime continuing and a new movie in production, the Blue Lock franchise is reaching new heights.

Blue Lock Live-Action Movie Confirms Release Date in Japan

The live-action movie adaptation of Blue Lock will be released in Japan on August 7th. Currently, there’s no news about when it might be available in other countries. Yusuke Taki is directing the film, with production handled by CREDEUS and TOHO – the teams behind the live-action films Golden Kamuy and Kingdom. With many popular series now getting international releases soon after Japan, fans around the world are hoping this movie will be available outside of Japan relatively quickly.

The live-action movie adaptation of Blue Lock has announced its cast, featuring Fumiya Takahashi as Yoichi Isagi, Kaito Sakurai as Meguru Bachira, Kyohei Takahashi as Hyoma Chigiri, Kota Nomura as Rensuke Kunigami, Yuzu Aoki as Gurimu Igarashi, Sho Nishigaki as Asahi Naruhaya, Yuki Tachibana as Gin Gagamaru, Raizo Ishikawa as Jingo Raichi, Joey Iwanaga as Okuhito Iemon, Shunya Asano as Wataru Kuon, Yuki Sakurai as Yudai Imamura, Yuki Kura as Ryosuke Kira, and Masataka Kubota as Jinpachi Ego.

Blue Lock Season 3 Announced

I’m so hyped! Not only are we getting a live-action Blue Lock movie, but the anime is continuing too! They just announced a third season alongside the movie, which is amazing news. We don’t have a release date yet, but it’s going to cover the Neo Egoist League Arc – so get ready to see Yoichi and the team face off against some seriously tough international players! I can’t wait to see how it all plays out.
