Bonnie Tyler is recovering from a scary ordeal.
Oh my gosh, you will NOT believe this! Bonnie Tyler, the incredible woman who gave us ‘Total Eclipse of the Heart,’ was suddenly hospitalized! Her team just posted on her website that she needed immediate surgery for something with her intestines. I’m so worried about her! I’m sending all my love and hoping she recovers quickly. It’s just…Bonnie Tyler! She’s a legend!
We’re very sorry to share that Bonnie is in the hospital in Faro, Portugal, where she has a second home, after needing emergency surgery on her intestines. The surgery was successful, and she is now recovering.
The statement also acknowledged that her family, friends, and fans would understandably be worried and wished her a quick and complete recovery.
Just before her operation, the 74-year-old, married to Robert Sullivan since 1973, was getting ready for a European tour planned for 2026 and wanted to make sure she’d be healthy enough to go.
Bonnie shared with Hello! in March that she’s currently feeling healthy and is having a great time performing. She loves being on stage with her band and believes that good health is the most important thing.
The singer of “Holding Out for a Hero” shared that she does 20 minutes of Pilates each day to stay in shape, which is convenient because she can do it even when she’s traveling and staying in hotel rooms.
I used to have knee problems, and I had a surgery called a washout – it’s a procedure to help with knee pain. Thankfully, it worked really well, and I’m hoping the benefits will continue for years to come.

The Grammy-nominated artist enjoys performing both her classic songs and new releases when she tours. She continues to record new music because her fans are eager to hear it.
Of course, when it comes to her classics, she raved, “I still love singing them.”
Singing a song as iconic as ‘Total Eclipse of the Heart’ from 1983 still feels incredibly exciting, just like when she first discovered the song back in the ’80s.
Bonnie was really surprised and thrilled with how the video turned out, she told Hello! magazine. While she usually prefers performing live, she admitted the video was fantastic and played frequently on MTV.

Lupita Nyong’o received a diagnosis of uterine fibroids – non-cancerous growths in or around the uterus – in 2014, the year she won an Academy Award for her acting.
She didn’t share her diagnosis until 2025, when she revealed on Instagram that she had been privately struggling with it for over ten years.
She explained that girls are often taught to accept period pain as a normal part of being a woman. This leaves many of us dealing with a common issue in silence and feeling like we’re facing it alone.

In July 2025, the actress from Daisy Jones & The Six revealed she was hospitalized for a hernia. This happened because she had been wearing pants that were too tight, which caused a gap in her abdominal muscles.
Someone messaged Suki on X (formerly Twitter) saying, “You haven’t tweeted in a while!” Suki replied, jokingly, “Have you thought maybe I injured myself six months ago—wearing super tight pants caused a hernia—and I’ve been afraid to mention it?”

Hey everyone, just wanted to share a bit of a personal update. Back in April of this year, I actually had to have surgery – my appendix was really acting up and nearly burst! Thankfully, I’m recovering well and feeling much better now.
Brian shared in an Instagram video that he recently experienced stomach pain which led him to the emergency room. He explained he had a perforated appendix – it hadn’t fully burst, but was very close to doing so.
He added, “I’m on the road to recovery. It’s not an easy process. This is my first major surgery.”

According to Reuters, the U.S. Women’s National Team player was seen slowly sitting down on the field with a teammate supporting her, before suddenly collapsing. Trainers were immediately called to assess her condition.
As a huge NWSL fan, I was so relieved to see the league post an update about Savannah after the game. They said she got immediate medical attention right on the field and was quickly taken to a local hospital for more tests. Thankfully, they also shared that she’s currently stable and alert, which is the best news we could have hoped for. We’re all sending her our love and hoping for a speedy recovery!

“It’s been incredibly difficult,” Devine shared on the In Depth With Graham Bensinger podcast in 2025. “I experience spasms throughout my body, and doctors recently told me I was facing a life-threatening situation—within the last year, actually.”
He explained that his pain is intermittent, saying his body has some minor imperfections and isn’t quite working as it should.

He described a lingering tingling sensation in his knees and toes during a March 2025 episode of his podcast, Trading Secrets. He explained that just a few weeks or a month prior, he was able to squat 295 pounds, but now he can’t even do a squat or stand on one leg without falling. He compared the feeling to having a stroke.
But with the help of a back specialist and some steroids, he added, “We’re on the mend.”

She shared how much she cherishes her daughters, husband, family, and friends, saying she realized how quickly life can change. She urged everyone to embrace their loved ones, emphasizing the importance of showing affection whenever possible.

Amy Schumer is grateful for the internet, even though it can be harsh, because it helped her discover a health issue. After noticing she looked “puffy” during interviews, people online began commenting, and surprisingly, some doctors chimed in, expressing concern that she might have Cushing syndrome. This led Amy to realize she’d been receiving steroid injections after a breast reduction and C-section, which could have caused the condition. She wouldn’t have known about it otherwise. Amy recently shared that she’s relieved to learn her type of Cushing syndrome will resolve on its own and that she’s healthy, calling it “the greatest news imaginable.”

In December 2024, an AHL player suffered a skate cut during a game and needed 25 stitches to close the wound. In March 2022, Hailey Bieber experienced a frightening health scare while having breakfast with her husband, Justin Bieber. She suddenly started having stroke-like symptoms, unable to speak and experiencing drooping on the right side of her face. Although these symptoms eventually passed, she went to the hospital for evaluation. Doctors discovered she had a small blood clot in her brain, which they identified as a TIA (Transient Ischemic Attack). Further testing at UCLA revealed Hailey had a hole in her heart called a patent foramen ovale (PFO). The blood clot had traveled through this hole and reached her brain, causing the TIA. Hailey has since undergone a successful procedure to close the PFO and is now feeling well.

The same year Hailey faced a health issue, Justin also experienced one. In June 2022, he revealed he had been diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, a condition that caused temporary paralysis on one side of his face. This forced him to cancel the rest of his Justice World Tour.
In a video posted to Instagram, Justin explained that the virus affected the nerves in his ear and face, preventing him from blinking, smiling, or moving his nostril on the affected side. He also shared that it was becoming increasingly difficult for him to eat.
Fortunately, the paralysis eventually went away. Hailey shared on Good Morning America that Justin was recovering well, adding that while the situation had been frightening, he was going to be okay and she was thankful he was fine.

Jamie Foxx recently shared details about the health scare he experienced in April 2023, which he had initially kept private. He explained that while in Atlanta, he suffered a severe headache and asked for aspirin, but then lost consciousness. He doesn’t remember the next twenty days.
Initially, a doctor gave him a cortisone shot and sent him home, but his sister, Deidra Dixon, was worried and took him to the hospital. There, doctors discovered he had a brain bleed that caused a stroke.
After surgery, twenty days later, on May 4th, Jamie woke up in a wheelchair unable to walk. He then went to Chicago for rehabilitation and therapy.
He expressed his gratitude for the prayers he received, saying, “I needed every prayer.”

The reality TV star said she temporarily stopped breathing while running a mile during the first challenge on the NBC show.
She shared on the show Fit for TV: The Reality of The Biggest Loser that her memory of the event was fragmented. She recalled hearing a helicopter, feeling like she was floating, and then seeing her grandfather before everything went dark. After that, she saw light, which led her to realize she had died that day.
She explained that her organs were failing. She hadn’t known she had rhabdomyolysis, a condition where your body essentially starts to shut down.

Emilia Clarke, known for her role in Game of Thrones, revealed a harrowing health battle in a 2019 essay for The New Yorker. While filming the series, she experienced a sudden, severe headache while at the gym. She described collapsing and being violently ill, realizing something was seriously wrong with her brain.
A hospital scan quickly revealed a subarachnoid hemorrhage – a life-threatening stroke caused by bleeding around the brain. She had suffered an aneurysm, a rupture in an artery. Immediate surgery was performed to repair it, but the pain was excruciating. During her recovery, she experienced aphasia, leaving her unable to speak coherently.
Though the aphasia eventually passed and she was discharged after a month, a 2013 scan revealed the aneurysm had doubled in size, requiring a second surgery. This procedure was unsuccessful, leading to a massive bleed and a dire prognosis. Doctors needed to perform a more invasive surgery, accessing her brain directly through her skull.
Fortunately, Emilia reports she has now made a full recovery and is at 100%.

Cori Broadus, Snoop Dogg’s daughter, recently shared how thankful she is for her family’s support after suffering a stroke in January 2024. She immediately contacted them, sending a text and a picture, and they quickly came to her aid, as she told TopMob News’ Will Marfuggi in December 2024. While she could have been discharged after the stroke, other health issues – including a lupus flare-up and kidney problems – required a longer hospital stay. Cori is now recovering well, saying she’s “doing great” and has been working to regain some motor skills. She’s happy to be on the mend and feeling much better.

Shailene Woodley struggled with significant health issues throughout her early twenties. In a September 2024 podcast interview, she explained that she experienced hearing loss, extreme fatigue – unable to walk for more than five minutes without needing hours of rest – and persistent stomach pain. She faced a confusing array of diagnoses from different doctors.
Determined to find answers, Woodley, who has kept the specifics of her condition private, combined traditional medical care with holistic and herbal remedies. This search for well-being spanned a decade.
She explained that the physical discomfort led to deeper issues, including fear of food and struggles with body image, identity, and feeling comfortable in her own body.
Ultimately, after years of focusing on both her physical and mental health, Woodley is now healthy and feeling much better. She expressed gratitude for being able to say that her health issues have resolved.
