However, some good news has emerged as Gearbox Software has finally given us a clue regarding when Nintendo Switch 2 players can join in the fun of the upcoming game, although it might be slightly after Borderlands 4 goes live on other platforms.
Excitedly speaking as a die-hard fan, I can’t contain my enthusiasm! The long-awaited Borderlands 4 will land on Nintendo Switch 2 on October 3rd, only a few weeks following its debut on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5 slated for September 12th. Initially, we anticipated a later release date, but the news of it hitting the Nintendo Switch 2 is certainly a breath of fresh air, easing some concerns sparked by Randy Pitchford’s comments. Can’t wait to blast my way through Pandora on the go!
Gearbox Software has announced that cross-platform play will be available for Borderlands 4, meaning all systems – including the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 – can participate. This means players using a handheld device can team up with others and quickly find squad members. While it’s yet to be determined how the game performs on the Switch 2 compared to other platforms, the convenience of playing on-the-go may offset any potential drawbacks.
