Moving forward with the surge of Vex content related to Borderlands 4, Gearbox Entertainment is zeroing in on Rafa, the ex-Exo-Soldier, and his distinctive abilities. Previously serving in the Tediore military, he utilizes an exo-suit equipped with three exclusive Action Skills: Arc Knives, Peacebreaker Cannons, and Apophis Lance. For a detailed look at each one, see below.
As I, a gamer, wield Arc Knives, it’s clear they’re simple yet effective tools. I slide out two blades and swiftly cut down foes in a third-person perspective. Choosing the right Augments offers benefits like recovering health with each kill during my Action Skill, or maintaining it at the expense of my HP. The Peacebreaker Cannons, mounted on my shoulders, can pinpoint specific enemies. Depending on the Augment I choose, these weapons transform into shotguns, rockets, or deal Ordnance damage.
Lastly, there’s the Apophis Lance, a weapon that discharges energy blasts and aligns with Rafa’s grenade theme as it generates grenades when enemies are defeated, thanks to an enhancement. Additionally, you can enhance its capabilities by increasing the size and speed of the projectiles or transforming it into a flamethrower laser, among other upgrades.
The game titled “Borderlands 4” is set to launch on September 12th across Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC platforms. The Nintendo Switch 2 version will follow suit on October 3rd after being declared “gold.” Keep an eye out for further updates regarding Rafa and other Vault Hunters in the upcoming weeks.
