The latest chapter of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, chapter 34, will be released on May 20th, and a preview suggests some unfortunate events for a key character. Since the start of Two Blue Vortex, the series has consistently shown its main characters gaining significant power-ups. Boruto has learned skills from legendary shinobi, and his sister Himawari has developed Kurama’s abilities, becoming a powerful healer and physically strong fighter.
Everyone was also focused on Sarada Uchiha, who is one of the most important characters in the story, right after Boruto. Sarada shocked fans by finally activating her Mangekyo Sharingan, a powerful ability that the series hinted at for a long time. This Sharingan, called Ohirume, works like a tiny black hole, able to absorb attacks and energy. It seemed like Sarada would easily defeat the villain, Mamushi, with this incredible power, but she wasn’t able to fully control it, and it put a huge strain on her eyes and body. Sadly, the latest updates in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex reveal that her condition has gotten even worse.
Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 34 Confirms Sarada Uchiha’s Condition Is Worsening

Using the Mangekyo Sharingan’s powers always caused Uchiha clan members to lose their vision, and both Itachi and Sasuke experienced this. Sasuke’s eyesight deteriorated more quickly than Itachi’s. Now, Sarada is also suffering from this same problem, losing her vision even faster than her father did. The latest preview for the next chapter confirms this, with Sakura noting a significant worsening of Sarada’s eyesight, and visuals clearly showing her vision is much blurrier than before. This is especially upsetting for Sarada, as she had only recently begun to embrace her role as a prominent Uchiha in the continuation of the Naruto story.
Sarada’s vision loss seems permanent, as even Himawari’s healing abilities couldn’t fix it. This leaves us wondering how she’ll be able to fight effectively, given her incredible power. The series, Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, has often found answers through scientific advancements – something the original Naruto series didn’t focus on as much. Just as they improved Kawaki’s abilities, the scientist Amado might be able to help Sarada, potentially giving this Uchiha powers beyond anything seen from previous members of her clan.
The Boruto series has used similar ideas before, so it could easily work for Sarada, who is the last Uchiha. While chapter 34 of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex reveals some sad news for her, it’s unlikely to be the end of her story. The series will probably find a new way to make Sarada even stronger and more impressive than any Uchiha we’ve seen before.
