Brad Pitt may be in talks to join the cast of The Batman 2, according to a new rumor.
The sequel to the 2022 film The Batman, currently titled The Batman: Part II, is scheduled to hit US theaters in 2027. Matt Reeves is returning to direct, and Robert Pattinson will once again play Bruce Wayne, also known as Batman.
What do we know about the Batman 2 Brad Pitt rumor?
Okay, so I just saw this on World of Reel and it’s pretty exciting! Apparently, Brad Pitt might be joining ‘The Batman 2’ as a villain. Word is, Matt Reeves is currently looking to cast two older male characters who will be antagonists, and Pitt is supposedly on the shortlist for one of them. Honestly, that would be amazing.
Right now, this is just speculation. There hasn’t been an official confirmation that Brad Pitt will be in The Batman 2.
Recently, director Matt Reeves revealed he’s been in early discussions for “The Batman 2,” including conversations with Brad Pitt’s production company, Plan B Entertainment. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter in September, Reeves mentioned he was impressed by the show “Adolescence” while talking with Plan B, saying it had a significant impact on him and he found it very effective. He was discussing potential crew members for the upcoming film at the time.
Scarlett Johansson is confirmed to be in The Batman 2, but her role hasn’t been announced yet. Colin Farrell, Andy Serkis, and Jeffrey Wright are likely to reprise their roles as The Penguin, Alfred Pennyworth, and Commissioner Gordon, respectively. However, Zoë Kravitz will not be returning as Catwoman.
The Batman: Part II will be released in United States theaters on October 1, 2027.
