The attraction allowed Brendan Fraser to revisit his iconic character, Rick O’Connell, in a fun way. The picture, taken on April 8, 2026, hints that production is gaining speed, as filming is scheduled to start in August.

The highly anticipated sequel will be released in theaters on May 19, 2028, nearly two decades after the previous installment, The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor. The film will feature the return of Rachel Weisz and John Hannah, aiming to recapture the magic and feel of the original movies that fans loved.

The new movie will ignore the third film in the series and pick up the story from the beginning. Because so many years have passed, we’ll see Rick and Evelyn as older characters, but it will still have the same exciting blend of adventure, comedy, and the supernatural that fans enjoy.
