Brent Hinds, Mastodon Guitarist, Dies in Motorcycle Crash

The music world is mourning one of their own. 

Brent Hinds, famously recognized as an original member and previous guitarist in the heavy metal group Mastodon, passed away on August 20th, as confirmed by the band. He was 51 years old.

The renowned guitarist met his unfortunate end due to a motorcycle accident that occurred in Atlanta on August 20th. He was riding his Harley Davidson when he had an accident with a BMW SUV, as reported by the Atlanta Police Department in their statement on August 21st. The driver of the BMW failed to give way while making a left turn, but stayed at the scene after the incident.

An investigation is still ongoing, according to police.

After learning about the devastating news, the surviving members of Mastodon expressed deep sympathy to Hinds, who parted ways with the band in March, stating that they were overwhelmed with unimaginable sorrow and mourning.
