Funko has re-released its incredibly popular BTS x Toy Story collection! First launched in 2024, this crossover combines two huge pop culture favorites, and the new items are just as charming as you’d expect – perhaps even more so.
What Is the BTS x Toy Story Collection?
Imagine your favorite BTS members as characters from Pixar’s Toy Story! Now picture them as adorable Funko Pop figures – with those big heads and sweet eyes that make everything even cuter.
The new collection launched in 2024, featuring RM as Woody, Jin as an Alien, Suga as Hamm, J-Hope as Forky, Jimin as Rex, V as Lotso, and Jungkook as Buzz Lightyear. The figures cleverly combine the appeal of both franchises, creating a surprisingly harmonious blend that feels like a perfect match.
A Comeback Crossover
Combining popular characters and brands into collectible items, something BTS fans are used to, can easily go wrong. Simply mashing two well-known properties together without a good reason often feels like a quick way to make money instead of a genuine tribute to both.
That doesn’t seem to be happening with this particular item, though. Funko is famous for releasing different versions, combining franchises, and offering a huge variety of collectibles.
As a Funko Pop collector, I was really happy to see these are the standard size – they fit perfectly with all my other figures! The details are amazing too. Like, RM as Woody actually has that cool cow-print vest, and they even gave Jungkook as Buzz an eyebrow piercing! Funko did a fantastic job of making each member look like themselves, even while dressed as their Toy Story characters.
Here’s the full list of the figures, purseable on Amazon right now:
- V as Lotso — $14.99
- Suga as Hamm — $20.17
- Jimin as Rex — $15.99
- J-Hope as Forky — $5.99 (On sale for 60%-off!)
- Jin as Alien — $16.80
- RM as Woody — $13.00
- Jungkook as Buzz Lightyear — Currently unavailable
Who Should Grab These?
If you’re a BTS fan (known as ARMY) and collect Funko figures, you’ll definitely want these. But even if you just enjoy Toy Story collectibles or appreciate a great collaboration, they’re worth checking out.
This collection is perfect for anyone looking for a gift. Whether the recipient loves K-pop, Pixar movies, or both, you’ll find something they’ll enjoy.
These figures strike a great balance – they’re enjoyable for fans but also feel like high-quality collectibles. They have plenty of detail without being overly complex, and they’re limited enough that you’ll want to get them quickly before they sell out.
Limited-edition Funko collectibles often sell out quickly, as we saw with their first release a few years ago. Considering how dedicated the BTS fan base is, this new collection will likely be gone fast too.
