Hytale is now available in Early Access, and players interested in farming are curious if they can breed animals within the game.
Farming is a key part of the game, so being able to breed more animals would be a great addition. You need animals to get essential resources like food and other supplies.
This article provides a quick guide to animal breeding in the Early Access version of Hytale.
Is It Possible to Breed Animals in Hytale?

Unfortunately, as of right now, Hytale doesn’t allow players to breed animals. This feature wasn’t included in the initial Early Access release.
We do plan to add animal breeding to the game as we continue development. However, it’s not possible to breed animals right now.
Also, animals currently don’t age in the game. For instance, piglets will remain piglets and never grow into adult pigs. This feature is planned for the future, but isn’t available yet.
The animal taming feature is still under development. While you might see hearts when you try to feed animals, it doesn’t actually work yet – the full system isn’t finished.
However, that doesn’t mean animals are useless in the game. You can still catch smaller creatures and raise them on a farm, even if it’s just to get a small amount of resources.

You can also build Chicken Coops, and chickens nearby will use them to sleep at night. They’ll lay Eggs inside the coops, which you can collect each morning.
These eggs also don’t hatch into chickens, unfortunately. Right now, they’re just something players can use up in the game.
Just to reiterate, animal breeding isn’t available in Hytale at the time of the Early Access launch. The developers plan to add this feature later on, but it’s not included in the current version of the game.
