Carol and Sis have reunited.
Comedy legends Carol Burnett and Vicki Lawrence, who worked together on The Carol Burnett Show from 1967 to 1978, recently took a selfie after a dinner prepared by Carol’s husband, Brian Miller.
Vicki, 77, shared a sweet moment on Instagram on May 18th, posting about a dinner with her friend Carol. She thanked Brian for the delicious meal and said they shared lots of laughs and reminisced about old times, adding, “I love her so…”
Carol and Vicki both smiled for the camera. Carol wore large sunglasses, a burgundy jacket, and a grey turtleneck sweater. Vicki was dressed in a blue velvet jacket decorated with gold details.
People were thrilled to see the two actresses, who played sisters on screen, remaining friends and enjoying each other’s company. One fan simply wrote, “Two of the funniest women ever.”
One fan expressed overwhelming love for the comedic pair and their bond, saying they were beyond words. Another fan pleaded with them to create a video podcast sharing their memories together.
This recent dinner wasn’t Carol’s only celebration. The actress, known for her role in Noises Off, turned 93 on April 26th and celebrated with a special outing in Montecito, California. She was accompanied by her husband of 25 years, Brian, who is 70.
You know, I’ve always admired this comedy icon, and I recently read her take on staying active as she gets older. She told TopMob News in 2024 that it’s really about appreciating just being here, and being thankful you still have your health and mind. It’s such a simple, but powerful, perspective!
Having close, lifelong friends like Vicki makes life better. They first connected in the mid-1960s when Vicki, then 17, wrote a fan letter to Carol, inviting her to a local contest. Carol happily accepted and, after meeting Vicki, immediately offered her a spot on The Carol Burnett Show.
Ever since then, they’ve been incredibly close, although the Mama’s Family actress confessed she used to admire Carol a lot when they first became friends.
In a 2023 interview with KCRW, she recalled being very young compared to her colleagues. They were established adults with families and full lives, enjoying things like double dates and vacations. She felt like an inexperienced newcomer performing comedy on a national stage, and it took years before she felt comfortable and confident in her career.

Nicole, who has always loved her sister-in-law’s films, asked her a few years ago if she’d recreate some memorable scenes, including a famous one from My Best Friend’s Wedding.
During a May 2024 appearance on the Everything Iconic with Danny Pellegrino podcast, she recounted telling Cameron, ‘I need you to run towards me from behind the luggage cart, towards the airport.’ She explained that she began directing Cameron, telling her exactly what to say while they were driving. According to her, Cameron happily obliged, which she described as very kind and accommodating.

Thankfully, Lawrence was available to spend time with us, otherwise we might have missed out on seeing one of our favorite friendships blossom. Their connection started when the Oscar-winning actress emailed Schumer after watching her 2015 movie, Trainwreck. Lawrence admitted she wrote, ‘I don’t know where to begin, but I have to say it: I’m in love with you.’ They began emailing back and forth, which eventually turned into texting.
However, their friendship truly became strong when Schumer casually invited Lawrence to join her and her childhood friends for a trip to the Hamptons. Schumer was surprised when Lawrence accepted, but quickly realized Lawrence was incredibly down-to-earth. As Schumer said on The Daily Show, Lawrence is ‘the coolest person you’ll ever meet’ and ‘felt like one of the group.’

Everyone would want a friend who’s successful and established in their community! Jennifer Lopez and Sofia Vergara have been incredibly close ever since they met and instantly connected at the premiere of Man on Fire in 2004. Lopez described it as an immediate, strong connection – someone who makes you laugh and who you genuinely enjoy being around.
Vergara was also enthusiastically cheering on Lopez when she performed at President Joe Biden’s inauguration. She messaged Lopez, telling her that as a fellow Bronx native, her performance was truly inspiring and beautiful to watch.

Considered the ultimate celebrity friendship, Courteney Cox, Jennifer Aniston, and Lisa Kudrow have remained close since first becoming friends while working on the Warner Brothers lot. According to a source, their shared experience on the hit show Friends created a strong bond that has lasted for years. Just like staying in touch with former colleagues, they prioritize spending time together, whether it’s for casual get-togethers or larger reunions. Because they live relatively close to each other, it’s easy to gather at Courteney’s Sunday dinners or Jennifer’s pool parties. The source emphasizes that they feel deeply connected and expect to remain close friends for life.

I’ve been watching Amy Poehler and Tina Fey’s incredible friendship ever since they met in an improv class way back in 1993, and honestly, it’s the stuff of legends! They’re so close, they genuinely feel like family to each other. Amy actually told PopSugar while they were promoting their movie Sisters in 2015 that she and Tina are like ‘chosen sisters.’ She doesn’t have a sister herself – just a younger brother named Greg – and she said getting to experience that kind of bond with Tina has been amazing, like getting the sisterhood she always wanted.

Philipps described meeting Williams on the set of Dawson’s Creek as love at first sight. They quickly became close friends, bonding over shared activities like drinking wine, smoking, and even getting into trouble. That instant connection and affection has lasted for years. Luckily for fans, we get a glimpse into their enduring relationship as they navigate red carpets, coordinate outfits, and occasionally give Williams a playful makeover with trendy hair colors.

Drake and Adele, despite only recently considering a partnership, are eager to work together. After years of admiring each other’s music – they’ve won a combined 19 Grammy Awards – they started talking about a possible collaboration. Adele mentioned to etalk that she’d love to create an official remix of one of their songs, sharing her affection for Drake and even revealing she’d recently purchased the red coat he wore in a music video. Drake responded with similar enthusiasm, jokingly offering to do chores for Adele. Instead of immediately recording, they opted for a casual outing, enjoying a meal and a bowling trip in Los Angeles. They seem open to future collaborations, suggesting fans can expect something exciting down the line.

As a mother of two, Washington always wants to help others the way people helped her during her pregnancies. She often has open and honest conversations with close friends, especially Eva Longoria, as she shared with Entertainment Tonight. When Longoria had her son, Santiago, in 2018, Washington’s support was invaluable – Longoria affectionately called her a sort of personal birth coach and support system.

After winning an Oscar over 20 years ago for Good Will Hunting, Matt Damon and Ben Affleck have teamed up again for the film The Last Duel. Despite not working together on screen for a while, their close friendship remains strong. Damon explained to Entertainment Tonight that they’ve known each other for 35 years and grew up together, sharing a mutual passion for acting and filmmaking. He believes this shared obsession during their younger years created a lifelong bond.

Oh my gosh, can you believe Oprah and Gayle’s friendship started way back in 1976?! It’s the cutest story ever! They were both working at a Baltimore TV station, but they didn’t really know each other, you know? Oprah was already an anchor, and Gayle was a production assistant making just $12,000 a year. Apparently, the newsroom was pretty strict about who socialized with whom. But then, a huge snowstorm hit, and Oprah – being the amazing person she is – invited Gayle to stay at her place! And get this – the very next day, they went to the mall together! Seriously, can you imagine? They bonded over sweaters at Casual Corner, and that was it! A lifelong friendship was born! It’s just…everything!

While your dates probably don’t involve Wimbledon finals or royal palaces, Meghan Markle and a certain tennis champion actually connected in a very relatable way. They first met at a 2014 Super Bowl event and immediately bonded. As Meghan wrote on her former website, The Tig, they spent the time taking pictures, laughing during a flag football game, and chatting about everyday things – not tennis or acting, but just typical ‘girly stuff’.

Even though Game of Thrones is over, the close bond between Sophie Turner and Maisie Williams remains strong. Williams, who was a bridesmaid at Turner’s wedding to Joe Jonas in 2019, believes the most valuable outcome of the show’s eight seasons wasn’t its many Emmy awards. She playfully told TopMob News at the final season premiere that the show felt like a long journey to help her find a best friend. While joking, she emphasized how amazing it was to have such a supportive friend during the show’s intense run, calling it a true blessing.

Everyone’s heart probably melted when Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds reacted with joy as their oldest daughter, James, recognized Taylor Swift’s song “Gorgeous” at a concert. Lively jokingly called the video embarrassing, telling Robin Roberts on Good Morning America it showed their “unfiltered pride” as stage parents. But the genuine friendship between the families – which includes celebrating the Fourth of July at Swift’s Rhode Island home, gatherings at the Reynolds’ New York country house, and appearances in Swift’s music videos – is something special and worth cherishing.

Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon have a friendship that goes way back, even before their Apple TV+ series, The Morning Show. They first worked together in 2000 when Witherspoon had a small role on Aniston’s show. Witherspoon, who had recently given birth to her daughter Ava, remembers being nervous about balancing work and motherhood on set. She was pumping breast milk while filming, and Aniston kept asking about the baby. Witherspoon recalls Aniston being incredibly kind and supportive, and they’ve been close friends ever since.

Martha Stewart and Snoop Dogg formed an unlikely but captivating friendship, first gaining public attention at Justin Bieber’s Comedy Central Roast in 2015. This led to their VH1 cooking show, Martha & Snoop’s Potluck Dinner Party. Snoop Dogg explained to LA Weekly that Martha Stewart was different from people he usually hung out with, but surprisingly relatable. He appreciated that she was genuine and down-to-earth, despite coming from a different generation. He described their connection as feeling like a true partnership, a ‘holy matrimony’ rather than just a casual friendship.
