A judge from Dancing With the Stars was taken to the hospital after a health issue occurred during a flight to New York City.
She shared a video on Instagram from inside an ambulance, explaining that she experienced a minor medical issue while traveling to New York on April 16th for something she cares deeply about. She captioned the video, ‘Yesterday was quite a day.’

The 58-year-old woman, who has an autoimmune condition called Sjogren’s disease, explained when she knew she needed help from the flight attendants.
I usually manage my health issues myself,” she said. “Like a lot of people with autoimmune conditions, I carry a kit with supplies and try to be ready for anything, but this time I was really frightened.
While I was stuck in the restroom, the plane also hit some turbulence, and the flight attendants had to take their seats,” Carrie Ann explained. “I didn’t want to bother anyone, but when I lost feeling in my arms, I knew I needed to ask for assistance.
The former Talk cohost later shared more information about the frightening moment.

She said in a statement to USA Today that she was very grateful for the help she received from the flight crew and a doctor on the plane, and that she went to the hospital and received fluids after landing.
Carrie Ann expressed her gratitude to the paramedics who provided compassionate care during a frightening experience when her blood pressure dropped while she was being taken to the hospital by ambulance.

In July 2025, the actress from Daisy Jones & The Six revealed she was hospitalized for a hernia. This happened because she had been wearing pants that were too tight, which caused a gap in her abdominal muscles.

The former star of Beverly Hills, 90210 shared in April 2025 that he was recovering from surgery to fix a nearly ruptured appendix.
Okay, so last week was insane! Brian posted this video on Instagram, and he said he’d been having stomach pain. Turns out, he had to go to the ER! It was his appendix, and it was so close to bursting â he said it was perforated, like right before it actually burst. I was seriously worried when I saw that video, but so glad he caught it in time!
He added, âI’m on the road to recovery. It’s not an easy process. This is my first major surgery.â

As someone who’s always been interested in well-being, I found Adam Devine’s recent comments really resonated. He shared that a childhood accident â he was hit by a cement truck when he was just 11 â continues to cause him issues even now. It’s a reminder that things that happen to us early in life can have lasting effects, and prioritizing our health is so important.
âItâs been a really difficult time,â Devine shared on the In Depth With Graham Bensinger podcast in 2025. âIâve been experiencing spasms all over my body, and doctors recently told me I was in a life-threatening situationâI was told I was dying within the last year.â
He explained that his pain is intermittent, and described having some physical imperfections, saying, “My body isn’t quite working as it should in a few areas.”

A former contestant on The Bachelor went to the hospital in extreme pain, literally crawling because his back hurt so badly. The pain flared up during a road trip with a friend while they were traveling in an RV.
He described a strange tingling sensation that still lingered in his knees and toes as of a March 2025 podcast episode of Trading Secrets. To illustrate the issue, he explained that just a few weeks prior, heâd been squatting 295 pounds, but now he couldnât even manage a single squat or a one-legged squat without falling. He said it felt like heâd had a stroke.
But with the help of a back specialist and some steroids, he added, âWeâre on the mend.â

As a lot of you know, I share parts of my life, and I wanted to let you know that my ex-husband, Matt, had a heart attack back in March of this year. It was a really scary time, but thankfully, he pulled through and is doing much better now. It just reminds you to cherish every moment!

In an Instagram post, she explained that she was accidentally shot in the face by someone at a party. They fired a gun unsafely, and she was hit five times. One bullet came dangerously close to her right eye. Thankfully, @thebrendanrooney quickly helped her, checked her injuries, and got her to the hospital.
According to the former Kim Possible star, a small piece of something got stuck behind her eye. Doctors have advised against removing it with surgery right now, and theyâll continue to monitor her vision, which is currently normal.
The actress expressed immense gratitude for surviving. She shared how much she loves her daughters, husband, family, and friends, explaining that experiencing a near-death moment made her realize how quickly life can change. She urged everyone to cherish their loved ones and hug them whenever possible.

Amy Schumer is grateful for the internet, surprisingly, because it helped her discover a health issue. After noticing online comments about her “puffy” face during interviews, she was shocked when doctors began commenting, suggesting she might have Cushing syndrome â a condition often caused by high cortisol levels or steroid injections. This prompted her to realize sheâd been receiving steroid injections after a breast reduction and C-section. Without the online attention, she might never have connected the injections to her symptoms and gotten a diagnosis. Schumer recently shared that learning she had a form of Cushing syndrome that would resolve on its own was the best news she could have hoped for, and sheâs now relieved to be healthy.

In December 2024, an AHL player suffered a skate cut during a game and needed 25 stitches to close the wound. In March 2022, Hailey Bieber experienced a frightening health scare while having breakfast with her husband, Justin Bieber. She suddenly started having stroke-like symptoms. Hailey explained on YouTube that Justin noticed something was wrong and asked if she was okay, but she couldn’t respond. When she tried to speak, she realized she couldn’t, and the right side of her face began to droop.
Although the symptoms eventually subsided, Hailey went to the hospital where tests revealed she had suffered a small blood clot in her brain, which doctors identified as a TIA (Transient Ischemic Attack).
Further testing at UCLA uncovered a hole in her heart, called a patent foramen ovale (PFO). Doctors determined the blood clot had traveled to her heart, passed through the hole, and reached her brain, causing the TIA. Hailey has since undergone a successful procedure to close the PFO and is now doing well.

The same year Hailey faced a health issue, Justin also experienced one. In June 2022, he revealed he had been diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, a condition that caused temporary paralysis on one side of his face. This forced him to cancel the rest of his Justice World Tour.
In a video posted to Instagram, Justin explained that the virus affected nerves in his ear and face, preventing him from blinking, smiling, or moving his nostril on the affected side. He also mentioned it became increasingly difficult to eat.
Fortunately, the paralysis eventually went away. Hailey shared on Good Morning America that Justin was recovering well, calling the situation scary but assuring everyone he would be okay and was grateful he was on the mend.

Jamie Foxx recently shared details about the serious health scare he experienced in April 2023, which he had initially kept private. In his 2024 Netflix special, What Had Happened WasâŠ, Foxx explained that he suffered a severe headache one day while in Atlanta. Before he could take an aspirin, he lost consciousness and doesnât remember the next twenty days.
He initially saw a doctor who gave him a cortisone shot and sent him home, but his sister, Deidra Dixon, became concerned and took him to the hospital. There, doctors discovered he had a brain bleed that resulted in a stroke.
After undergoing surgery, Foxx woke up in a wheelchair on May 4th, unable to walk. He then traveled to Chicago for rehabilitation and therapy. He expressed his gratitude for the prayers he received, saying, âI needed every prayer.â

Okay, so I was chatting with a reality star recently, and she shared something intense. She told me she actually collapsed while running a mile during the very first challenge of her new show on NBC â she said it felt like she ‘died’ for a moment. It was a scary experience, but thankfully she’s okay!
She shared on the show Fit for TV: The Reality of The Biggest Loser that her memory of the event was fragmented. She recalled hearing a helicopter, feeling like she was floating, and then seeing her grandfather. After that, everything went dark, but she then experienced a bright light, which led her to realize she had died that day.
She explained that her organs were failing. She hadn’t known she had rhabdomyolysis, a condition where the body essentially starts to shut down.

Emilia Clarke, known for her role in Game of Thrones, revealed a harrowing health battle in a 2019 essay for The New Yorker. While filming the series, she experienced a sudden, severe headache while at the gym. She described collapsing and being violently ill, realizing something was seriously wrong with her brain.
A hospital scan quickly revealed she had suffered a subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH), a life-threatening stroke caused by a ruptured aneurysm. She immediately underwent surgery to repair it, but the pain was excruciating. During her recovery, she experienced aphasia, leaving her unable to speak coherently.
Though the aphasia eventually passed and she was discharged after a month, a 2013 scan revealed the aneurysm had doubled in size, requiring a second surgery. This procedure was unsuccessful, leading to a massive bleed and a dire prognosis. Doctors had to perform a more invasive surgery, accessing her brain directly through her skull.
Fortunately, Emilia reports that she has now made a full recovery and is at 100%.

Cori Broadus, Snoop Doggâs daughter, is thankful for the support of her family. In January 2024, she experienced a serious stroke and her loved ones immediately came to her side. Cori ended up staying in the hospital longer than expected due to other health issues. While she could have gone home after the stroke, she was also dealing with lupus and kidney problems. Thankfully, Cori is now recovering well. She says sheâs feeling great and has been working to regain some motor skills, but is otherwise doing fine.

Shailene Woodley struggled with serious health issues throughout her 20s. In a September 2024 podcast interview, she revealed she experienced hearing loss, extreme fatigue, and digestive problems, leading to a confusing array of diagnoses. Determined to find answers, Woodley combined traditional medical care with holistic and herbal remedies. This search for well-being lasted for ten years and also led to struggles with food-related anxiety, body image issues, and questions about her identity. Ultimately, Woodley was able to resolve her physical health problems and is now feeling very well. She’s grateful to be in a place where she can say she’s healthy again.
