Jeremy Allen White, who will appear in the new movie, has long admired Jon Favreau. He told Variety that Favreau’s films Swingers and Made greatly influenced him when he was starting out as an actor. They met at a party where White shared his appreciation for Favreau’s work. Favreau then called him the next day to discuss The Mandalorian. White praised the show and mentioned his acquaintance with Pedro Pascal, who enjoys working with Favreau. That’s when Favreau offered him a role. White was excited, but confused when Favreau began explaining the character – Rotta the Hutt. When the interviewer mentioned Rotta was Jabba the Hutt’s son, White confessed he hadn’t known that either.

The game Beyond Good and Evil 2 was originally announced way back in 2008, but news went quiet for several years. It reappeared in 2017 with a stunning trailer, and now, a recent job posting for a Technical Sound Designer suggests development is picking up again. Ubisoft hasn’t officially shared updates since 2020, but the job description itself provides some clues about the project.

Warning: Spoilers below for Stranger Things 5, Volume 1

Released on November 27, 1920, The Mark of Zorro is an important film in the history of superhero stories. While often labeled a “swashbuckler” – an adventure film full of sword fighting and heroic characters – it’s also a clear example of an early superhero tale. Zorro existed long before the superhero genre was formally defined, but the film helped pave the way for it. Directed by Fred Niblo and starring Douglas Fairbanks and Noah Beery, this silent film is based on Johnston McCulley’s novel, The Curse of Capistrano. It tells the story of Don Diego Vega (Fairbanks), a master swordsman who returns to Spanish California to find its people mistreated by the rich and powerful. Outraged, he creates the masked persona of Señor Zorro, becoming a champion for the common people and leaving his signature “Z” mark on those who do wrong.

FX is looking to create a successful series like those from HBO, Peacock, and Prime Video, and they’re starting with the popular video game franchise Far Cry. They’ve chosen experienced talent to adapt the game for television, hoping for a much better result than the poorly received 2008 film adaptation.

YOASOBI’s song “Idol,” the opening theme for Oshi no Ko, has broken records by becoming the fastest song to reach one billion streams on the Oricon Weekly Streaming Ranking. Although other songs have reached this milestone, “Idol” did so in just 137 weeks, surpassing the previous record holder, “Racing Into The Night.” It took over two years, but earning more than a billion listens worldwide is a significant achievement. With a second season of Oshi no Ko planned for 2026, fans are wondering if any other songs from the anime will achieve similar success.

A special limited edition of the game will be released for Nintendo Switch and PC, priced at 29,799 yen. This edition includes a CD with the game’s theme song and a set of 13 acrylic stands, each about 15 centimeters tall. If you’re only interested in the extra items, you can purchase the merchandise separately for 20,900 yen without the game itself.
