As a long-time fan of Marvel comics and movies, I’m thrilled to see the collaboration between Marvel Studios and the characters once owned by 20th Century Fox, specifically Deadpool and Wolverine. This threequel is truly groundbreaking as it marks the first major role for these characters in a Marvel project, and the first R-rated release from Burbank-based Marvel.

In simpler terms, the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) has yet to introduce one of Marvel’s most famous cosmic characters, Richard Rider, aka Nova, despite exploring the Marvel cosmos and introducing the Nova Corps. There have been efforts to bring him in before, but nothing concrete has materialized. However, according to ComicBook’s Brandon Davis, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige confirmed that a Nova project focusing on Richard Rider is under development as a TV series, and it will likely be released within the next 3-4 years. So, it seems we are finally getting closer to seeing Rider make an appearance in the MCU.

Samurai Jack and Beetlejuice are joining the cast of MultiVersus for Season 2, according to a recent announcement from Warner Bros. and Player First Games. These characters were unveiled at EVO 2024, with previews of each character released following the announcement. Samurai Jack will be available when Season 2 starts on July 23rd, while Beetlejuice will be added later in the season before the new Beetlejuice movie hits theaters in September.
