I was pleasantly surprised by *Borderlands 4*. It doesn’t just refine what was already there; it genuinely reinvents the core gameplay, adding improvements and new ideas that make *Borderlands* feel fresh and exciting. While the story is fairly predictable and the game can sometimes run poorly, the chaotic, fun moments that define the series are back – and they feel intentional and satisfying. Gearbox seems to have successfully updated the series while staying true to its unique spirit.

It hasn’t been long since the previous DC movie universe ended, and now James Gunn is starting a completely new one. This has led to some confusion, as some actors are reprising their roles, but Henry Cavill is no longer playing Superman. David Corenswet is taking over the iconic role. If you’re a DC fan who’s been out of the loop and are planning to watch the 2025 *Superman* movie, you might be wondering what happened – and that’s understandable, because the whole situation is a bit complicated.

Starting September 19th, subscribers to Peacock can stream the popular 2024 horror movie *Abigail*. Directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett (known as Radio Silence), the film is a modern take on the classic *Dracula’s Daughter*. The story follows a group of criminals who kidnap a 12-year-old ballerina, unaware that she’s the daughter of a dangerous crime boss. They lock her up in a remote mansion, only to discover their innocent-looking victim is actually a terrifying vampire, and a fight for survival begins. The movie stars Alisha Weir as Abigail, with Melissa Barrera, Dan Stevens, Kathryn Newton, Will Catlett, Kevin Durand, Angus Cloud, and Giancarlo Esposito also featuring in the cast.

Just to clarify, this new Doom Slayer figure won’t be an ‘Elite’ version like the previous one. McFarlane Toys announced it will be a standard figure priced at $34.99. While it won’t have the extra details of an Elite figure (and the $60 price tag that comes with it), that might actually be a plus! If you want to add it to your collection, it will be available at Entertainment Earth and likely on Amazon starting September 23rd at 9am Pacific Time / 12pm Eastern Time.

I’m so excited about the upcoming replica of Rosalina’s Storybook! You can currently pre-order it at Bookshop.org and Walmart for around $24.99. It seems like it might sell out quickly, but they’re planning on restocking, so definitely keep an eye on those links if you miss the first chance. It’s supposed to ship in November, which makes it a perfect gift for any Super Mario fan you know – and honestly, it looks like something they’d really love and want to show off!

In Alien: Romulus, a group led by Rain journeys to the Renaissance space station-made up of the Romulus and Remus sections-seeking cryosleep pods to help them survive the long trip to the peaceful planet Yvaga III, which isn’t controlled by the Weyland-Yutani corporation. However, their plans go awry when they discover the station has been overrun by hostile alien creatures, including numerous facehuggers. The film was a critical and commercial success, earning $350.9 million worldwide-the second-highest total in the Alien series-leading to optimism for a sequel.

The new *Jujutsu Kaisen* movie, *JUJUTSU KAISEN: Execution*, arrives in North American theaters on December 5th. It features a special compilation of the intense “Shibuya Incident” storyline, which fans consider the biggest battle in the series so far. The film also includes the first two episodes of the upcoming third season arc, “Culling Game Part 1,” giving viewers an early look before it streams in January 2026. By combining these linked storylines, the movie offers a unique experience designed for the big screen.

Video games, particularly competitive ones, demand quick reactions to fast-changing events. Strategy games require players to juggle managing resources, building forces, making smart decisions, and studying what their opponents are doing.
