It’s been a little over a year since the updated 2024 version of the *Dungeons & Dragons Player’s Handbook* came out. After trying the revised class and subclass options, some have clearly become favorites. While the update introduced a few completely new subclasses, many are simply updated versions of older ones – and some are noticeably more enjoyable to play. Here are 5 *D&D* subclasses that have really benefited from the 2024 rule changes.

Epic scope isn’t necessary for a successful fantasy movie. Many great stories succeed by staying small and focused. When adapting stories about fantastic characters who’ve previously been part of a larger group, a more intimate approach would allow them to truly shine.

The new Pixar film, *Elio*, is now streaming on Disney+ and is quickly gaining popularity. According to FlixPatrol, which tracks streaming trends, *Elio* is currently the most-watched movie on the platform, even beating out the live-action *Lilo & Stitch* remake. While it’s good that people are enjoying *Elio* at home, it also points to a significant issue for Pixar.

The *Absolute Flash* storyline brought back many of the Flash’s classic enemies, highlighting the complex connection between Wally West, the Rogues, and the rest of the Flash’s villains. The history between Wally West and the Rogues is especially noteworthy. Unlike Batman’s villains, the Rogues aren’t murderers – they’re professional criminals with a code of honor. But for longtime fans, seeing Wally team up with them immediately recalls a dark moment: the death of Bart Allen. In that sense, Wally joining the Rogues feels like a betrayal, and to fully understand why, it’s important to revisit the story of Bart Allen’s time as the Flash and his tragic death at the hands of the Rogues, which happened two decades ago.

I was pleasantly surprised by *Borderlands 4*. It doesn’t just refine what was already there; it genuinely reinvents the core gameplay, adding improvements and new ideas that make *Borderlands* feel fresh and exciting. While the story is fairly predictable and the game can sometimes run poorly, the chaotic, fun moments that define the series are back – and they feel intentional and satisfying. Gearbox seems to have successfully updated the series while staying true to its unique spirit.

It hasn’t been long since the previous DC movie universe ended, and now James Gunn is starting a completely new one. This has led to some confusion, as some actors are reprising their roles, but Henry Cavill is no longer playing Superman. David Corenswet is taking over the iconic role. If you’re a DC fan who’s been out of the loop and are planning to watch the 2025 *Superman* movie, you might be wondering what happened – and that’s understandable, because the whole situation is a bit complicated.

Starting September 19th, subscribers to Peacock can stream the popular 2024 horror movie *Abigail*. Directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett (known as Radio Silence), the film is a modern take on the classic *Dracula’s Daughter*. The story follows a group of criminals who kidnap a 12-year-old ballerina, unaware that she’s the daughter of a dangerous crime boss. They lock her up in a remote mansion, only to discover their innocent-looking victim is actually a terrifying vampire, and a fight for survival begins. The movie stars Alisha Weir as Abigail, with Melissa Barrera, Dan Stevens, Kathryn Newton, Will Catlett, Kevin Durand, Angus Cloud, and Giancarlo Esposito also featuring in the cast.

Just to clarify, this new Doom Slayer figure won’t be an ‘Elite’ version like the previous one. McFarlane Toys announced it will be a standard figure priced at $34.99. While it won’t have the extra details of an Elite figure (and the $60 price tag that comes with it), that might actually be a plus! If you want to add it to your collection, it will be available at Entertainment Earth and likely on Amazon starting September 23rd at 9am Pacific Time / 12pm Eastern Time.

I’m so excited about the upcoming replica of Rosalina’s Storybook! You can currently pre-order it at Bookshop.org and Walmart for around $24.99.
