Matt Reeves told *The Hollywood Reporter* at the 2025 Emmy Awards that he was thrilled to give Robert Pattinson the script for *The Batman: Part II*. He believed Pattinson would enjoy it, noting that the film explores Batman and Bruce Wayne in a completely new way. Reeves also emphasized the importance of keeping the plot details secret to build anticipation for what he describes as a complex and thrilling continuation of the Caped Crusader’s story.
