With Sucker Punch’s *Ghost of Tsushima: Legends 2* launching soon, *Assassin’s Creed Shadows* is releasing its first paid expansion, *Claws of Awaji*, to keep players engaged. Available now on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC, *Claws of Awaji* offers more than 10 hours of gameplay in a brand new area. The story mainly follows Naoe, while Yaskue assists her on a journey to Awaji Island to find someone she cares about. However, the Sanzoku Ippa are determined to stop them, constantly setting traps and ambushing them along the way.
The game encourages more strategic thinking – one boss battle, in particular, feels like the famous ‘The End’ fight from *Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater*. Players can also take advantage of the new Bo weapon, which is unique to the character Naoe and opens up a lot of possibilities for creative combos and quick movement.
If you pre-ordered *Assassin’s Creed Shadows*, you’ll get *Claws of Awaji* for free. Otherwise, you can purchase it separately for $24.99. A new Premium Edition is also available for $109.99, and it includes the main game, the *Claws of Awaji* expansion, the Sekiryu Gear Set, two weapons, and cosmetic items.
