The Finnish action movie Sisu: Road to Revenge, a sequel to the popular 2022 film Sisu, is now available on HBO Max and is quickly becoming a hit. It’s currently the second most popular movie on the platform, closely behind Jurassic World Rebirth, according to streaming data from Flix Patrol. This is particularly impressive considering the film didn’t perform exceptionally well in theaters, earning $9.8 million worldwide with a production budget of $12.2 million. This is a decrease from the original Sisu film, which earned $14 million on a $7 million budget.

Among dystopian film series of the 2010s, The Hunger Games was the most successful. Based on Suzanne Collins’s novels and starring Katniss Everdeen, the series began in 2012 and has earned over $3 billion worldwide, making it one of the highest-grossing franchises ever. Sadly for fans, the original four Hunger Games movies – The Hunger Games, Catching Fire, Mockingjay – Part 1, and Mockingjay – Part 2 – will soon be removed from Peacock, and likely from other streaming services as well.

In a recent blog post discussing the future of the game, Ubisoft announced that Assassin’s Creed Unity will receive a performance update on March 5th, bringing a smooth 60 frames per second experience to both PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. From April 2nd to 6th, Xbox players will be able to try the updated game for free as part of Xbox Free Play Days. While Unity already runs at 60fps on Xbox Series X|S thanks to the FPS Boost feature, this new update will likely improve more than just the frame rate.

For the past few years, the company behind PlayStation has struggled to balance releasing games only on PS5 with the benefits of making them available on Steam. They haven’t yet found a solution that pleases both PlayStation owners and PC gamers.

We’re really looking forward to the new update for Assassin’s Creed Unity. Tomorrow, Xbox Series X/S and PS5 players will get a version running at a smooth 60 frames per second, which should make experiencing Arno’s adventures during the French Revolution feel brand new. If it’s similar to the update for Syndicate, it’s going to be amazing – Arno moves with incredible speed and grace as he navigates the rooftops.

Jonathan Dumont, the content director for the Assassin’s Creed series, recently became the creative director of the new game following Clint Hocking’s exit. He shared that the game is being carefully developed by the experienced team at Ubisoft Montreal, and promised a distinctive, more mature, story-focused Assassin’s Creed adventure set during a crucial historical period.

I still think about a strategy game released in 2012 constantly – it was that good. While it doesn’t cover every type of strategy game, it perfectly captures what makes the best ones so compelling. Its blend of character development, a gripping story, large-scale strategic maps, and intense, tactical combat keeps it exciting and challenging, no matter what kind of strategy games you usually enjoy. That game is the incredible XCOM: Enemy Unknown, and I truly believe it’s been the best strategy game ever created since its release 14 years ago.

This weekend, director Maggie Gyllenhaal is releasing a bold new take on the classic Bride of Frankenstein. The film is a fast-paced, imaginative experience that blends elements of gangster movies, classic Hollywood glamour, and punk rock. At its heart is Jessie Buckley’s energetic and captivating performance as the Bride, who handles everything the film throws at her with remarkable energy.

The show “The Life of the Stars” features theatrical healing after a difficult event. Interestingly, thanks to research consultant Jörg Hildebrand, who shared images online, fans discovered three pages of a Klingon translation of Hamlet appearing in an episode. This is a clever callback to a joke from Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country, made over thirty years ago, suggesting that you haven’t truly understood Shakespeare until you’ve read it in Klingon.

The huge success of the 1977 film Star Wars quickly led other studios to start making their own large-scale science fiction movies, hoping to attract similar audiences. These films tried to copy the look and storytelling of Star Wars, featuring characters like brave young heroes, charming smugglers, and powerful, evil empires.
