Pokemon Pokopia blends a relaxing, open-world experience with a captivating story. You’ll join Professor Tangrowth in solving the mystery of the missing Pokemon and people, but you can explore at your own pace with lots of optional quests and tasks in each area. Even with a few small issues, Pokemon Pokopia is a wonderfully cozy game and easily the best new Pokemon title in years.
Lots of promising game ideas – from fresh approaches to bounty hunting to innovative takes on spy thrillers – were unfortunately canceled by their developers for various reasons. We’re highlighting a few of these games we were really excited about, but which never made it to release.
Crimson Desert
The sense of loss is immediately apparent. You feel it as soon as you see Grace walking through the city streets, heading towards her goal. It’s there in the initial view of Raccoon City – a massive, empty crater where a bustling city once stood. And it’s powerfully conveyed through the detailed expressions of Leon and Grace, brought to life by impressive character models and animation.
The new live-action show Spider-Noir is bringing back a popular character from Into the Spider-Verse, and it’s already made Marvel history before even premiering. According to The Direct, the latest trailer reveals Spider-Noir will be rated TV-14 – the second-highest rating possible. This is a first for any live-action Spider-Man TV show, suggesting it will be the most adult-oriented Marvel series featuring Spider-Man. Given what we already know about the show’s story, this rating confirms Spider-Noir is shaping up to be a thrilling addition to the Marvel TV universe.
I was so excited when Digital Eclipse and Capcom finally brought The Disney Afternoon Collection to the Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 last week! It originally came out on PC, PS4, and Xbox One way back in 2017, but it’s awesome to have it on Nintendo now. For those who don’t know, it’s a collection of six classic NES games based on Disney properties. We’re talking DuckTales, Chip ‘n Dale Rescue Rangers, TaleSpin, Darkwing Duck, DuckTales 2, and Chip ‘n Dale Rescue Rangers 2. But here’s the best part: the Switch and Switch 2 version isn’t just the original six! They’ve added Goof Troop and Bonkers, bringing the total up to eight games! It’s a fantastic collection for anyone who grew up with these titles.
